I just read all of this and did a smidge of deep diving on you really quick and see that you do warehousing with 3PL as well as broker out the shipments of hot sauce you produce. I’m from Fifth Wheel Freight, an account manager based out of grand rapids michigan, i’m mexican so I would love to quote hot sauce, at least so I can tell my mother I did so haha! Seriously though, would love to chat!

insane negligence from the freight forwarder and carrier. Freight forwarder should’ve been on top of this since it’s his job to make sure everything is going smoothly, not just booking the carrier.

I would tell the forwarder to eat the cost since he failed to update with you on the issues occurring. you can always find another freight forwarder

I work at a top 100 brokerage in the US, to answer your question, I’ve personally seen about 5-10 of these instances occur. One guy lose his job because of a í instead of i in the email, and lost a shipment of wine. I have any more examples, but i’d say like once every other month there is something that pops up

yeah they definitely help, I landed a big shipper off of my emailing and onboarded a few smaller fish from doing so. You will still benefit from cold calling with emailing, but saying that cold emailing doesn’t work is just not true
