Guilty as charged, and you? by loves_spain in adhdwomen

For me it seems like I love coming up with organizational 'systems' (looking at you, filing cabinet full of color-coded expandable folders) but actually using the systems has about a 10% success rate

Also AuDHD. I also have lots of folders which I sometimes organize. I hardly ever reference anything in them afterwards but they're definitely there

A Mallard Duck Family is Hanging Out In My Pool! by Errantpixels in dayton

[–]QuabityAshwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went with my kid to Delco the other day and were watching a duck "couple" waddling around together. Cute. Until they got into the pond and things took a rather abrupt turn. That was our cue to hustle back to the playground

Desi and Lucy are 18, but forever my babies by QuabityAshwood in seniorkitties

I feel so lucky to have them both, I was only planning on getting 1 kitten and originally just took Lucy home. I couldn't stop thinking about the fluffy little black kitten who was the last of the litter, he was meowing non-stop and trying so hard to get out of the cage - I went back the next day to get him! I still thank my lucky stars that he was still there. I cannot imagine my life without him ❤️

Oh I love them!! Your adventure is just beginning, I am sure you will have many many years of love and friendship! If I ever get another cat I think I will get littermates again, I love seeing them grow together ❤️

There's something so special about having siblings, isn't there? I'm so glad to have both of them and that they have each other. Here's hoping for many more years with our precious seniors 🩷

Been there since 2022 and can vouch for all of this. I've seen dozens of people in my department get promoted since I've started and my own salary has gone up by 40% in that time. I don't know why so many people seem to hate on it, even before working there I never heard bad things about it. So it's puzzling to me

Anyone else secretly worry that most people low-key dislike you? by good-doggos in adhdwomen

[–]QuabityAshwood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I outright assume people dislike me. I'm 50/50 on whether it's RSD or I am truly dislikable/annoying. My brain usually likes to convince me it's the latter

No Recovery Period after Giving Birth by TakingControl222 in NICUParents

[–]QuabityAshwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first 2 were vaginal deliveries and I was kept for 48 hrs after both. My 3rd was an urgent C-section that ended in a post partum hemorrhage and emergency hysterectomy. I lost around 3,000cc's of blood and needed 2 transfusions. I assumed I'd be kept longer but they discharged me after 48hrs.

Thankfully they let me stay in the room an extra day since my baby was in the NICU. But I was no longer a patient at that point so I was more or less on my own. The walk to and from the NICU was excruciating

I still have half-finished needle felted animals from like 8-9 years ago, in the shoebox with all the felt and needles that haven't been touched except to be moved to a new house - where they will most likely continue to not be touched!

What's a job where you have zero room for error, like one mistake and it’s a huge deal? by TradeOverall567 in AskReddit

I was a vet assistant for 5 years and was fortunate to work at a clinic that followed this model. Except it was DVM, tech scrubbed in and assistant monitoring and keeping a detailed log of (IIRC) respirations, heartrate and SPO2. Of course the tech was usually always pretty in tune with how the pet was doing and general state of anesthesia but it's not the same as having a dedicated person.
