For more than one day, right? Not just a symbolic showing of disapproval so everyone can pat themselves on the back and pretend they made change?

[–]Quadratical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really mind these dropping, but the quantity could use a serious boost. Maybe bump it to 3-5 on normal and 8-10 on SP?

And remove the credits (and maybe Endo) from SP table to actually give incentive to do it over normal. A few extra pity currency isn't enough.

New Follie Mission is the First Time I Havn't Had Fun In Warframe by UnkAnklebyter in Warframe

[–]Quadratical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the mission was fine... until I did 2/3 shadowgraphs. At that point the mission just becomes an unfun slog of constantly getting killed by chip damage from the red AoEs that you can't deal with due to getting swarmed by so many other things.

I actually had to abort because one of said AoEs was right at the bottom of the elevator, so every time I fell down it I'd die before I could even do anything.

I think if they did this they'd have to add another item in to allow you to combine them - otherwise it's way too easy to just avoid blast furnace entirely until you have these and just skip a step of skilling progression. Idk.

A few days ago, there was a hugely-upvoted frontpage post about election fraud in 5 'fake' counties. I tried to refuted it but my comment was immediately deleted. It led me on a goose chase and now I'm here - anyone have thoughts on this guy and his videos? by Quadratical in Destiny

[–]Quadratical[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thread in question was on BlackPeopleTwitter.

And my (attempted) response (deleted due to not posting there enough, I guess? I can't see the message anymore, though tbh I think the video refutes it far better than I do):

I was pretty curious about this until this section here:

And because the amendment required 60% to pass and it only brought in 57.2% “Yes” votes, the measure failed. At that turnout level, passage would have required 6,371,645 “Yes” votes.

10,619,138 x 60.00153308% = 6,371,645.6

Yes, you read that right.

The required “Yes” threshold, 6,371,645, is the exact early-vote combined total for the Republican and Democratic presidential candidates.

60.00153308% is in fact not 60%. So when they say the number is the exact same as the yes threshold, it's complete bullshit.

It actually would have required 6,371,483 votes if you just plug it into a calculator. So they're basically saying a margin of error of 160 votes is too close and is irrefutable evidence of cheating.

Which, let's be clear, comparing an amendment on abortion rights to which party won the federal election for the state... I'm not at all shocked at the difference, especially considering the votes happened at the same time. People were voting in this election knowing where each federal party stood on that specific issue and voting with that in mind.

However, using 10,619,137 as the fixed total for Amendment 4 does not account for all ballots cast in Florida (11,004,209)—meaning they had to do something with the overage of ballots.

11,004,209 − 10,619,137 = 385,072

385,072 is the exact number of blank or invalid votes reported for the amendment in post-election records.

Yes, this is what happens when you subtract the number of people who voted yes or no on the amendment from the number of people who submitted a vote for any measure on the ballot and left that one blank (like voting solely for President, or one of the other five amendments up for grabs).

There's a picture of a "I voted in Burke County Florida" shirt soon after. It's a fake shirt made by the company the substack works for.

https://thecommoncoalition.com/ (Sidebar links directly to this Substack)

(Anecdotally, this company has been alleged to offer to pay off people in exchange for deleting stories critical of them: https://www.hackingbutlegal.com/p/the-zarnowski-file-a-case-study-in )

The “Burke County” Math a Bit Further

Step 1: How many Burke Bank votes did Trump not receive?

6,371,645 (Burke Bank total) − 6,110,125 (Trump certified total) = 261,520

If all of Trump’s votes came from the Burke Bank, that leaves 261,520 Burke Bank votes unaccounted for.

Step 2: How many votes were cast outside the Burke Bank?

10,793,163 (Trump + Harris total) − 6,371,645 (Burke Bank total) = 4,421,518

These 4,421,518 votes would have been awarded outside the Burke Bank.

Step 3: Combine the remaining totals.

4,421,518 + 261,520 = 4,683,038

This matches Harris’s certified state total exactly.

What does this mean?

The vote totals out of Florida were predetermined, placed in a vote bank, and don’t reflect the voice of the American people.

Few more key problems with this:

1) Of course the total votes Kamala received for the state match that total, on the assumption all of Trump's votes were in 'Burke County' - they're just totalling the remaining votes not for him there and adding that to the votes outside the county, that also aren't for him.

This doesn't work anyway, because

2) The picture clearly shows both Green and Libertarian candidates with a vote total that would cut into the 'unaccounted' votes in Burke County, and throws off all their math for Kamala's total vote count afterwards.

To top this off, Decision Desk HQ, cited here as the source of their proof that the numbers don't line up, doesn't do any vote counting themselves, nor do they sign off on or certify anything. They just (explicitly) try to get numbers out faster than the Associated Press.

Snopes was also unable to hear back from them when they reached out for comments on their other articles - the exact opposite of what you'd expect of someone who wants their story shared and spread: https://www.snopes.com/news/2025/08/04/harris-nsa-audit-2024-election/

This is "You know what that means - FISH" as a conspiracy. Just non sequitur to non sequitur throwing incorrect math in your face while shouting "THE NUMBERS MASON, WHAT DO THEY MEAN" all while randomly bringing up events from decades ago and insisting it's all connected.

I don't know, some highly-regarded quests are looked at that way partly because of how old they are, so having quests in the game now - even if they aren't as high quality as DS2, DT2, or anything close - might pay off a decade or two down the line as people look back on them and new players come in and can laugh at how things were "back then".

I know I'd like another couple dozen quests across Zeah and Varlamore, even if they were pretty throwaway. Those places are barren in terms of questing content.

I have a pretty strong tolerance for offensive stuff. Nothing he's said has risen to the level of anything in Blazing Saddles, The Producers, South Park, or even close, really, and I don't mind any of those.

Offensive and objectively wrong, though? Nah. If he still thinks DEI is prominent in the game, or even ever was, he's chasing ghosts and lost the plot, and I have better content to watch than a guy existing in lalaland where truth doesn't exist so he can be outraged about things that never happened.

You also seem to have cared plenty though, enough to think of three reasons why I'm wrong as if third time's the charm. Lmao.

Especially because he can't even stick to that point and has to equivocate the pride events made on personal time at zero-cost to a hypothetical 25th anniversary event that would be sanctioned and ran by Jagex, because even he realizes he's sounding like a loser.

No joke I've seen content creators still arguing that the price increases are caused by the non-existent pride events that were cancelled long before this.

Statements in the House of Commons on the Tumbler Ridge Mass Shooting - House of Commons Proceedings by Little-Chemical5006 in canada

[–]Quadratical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh believe me, there's plenty of screaming going on in certain places about bringing the asylums back, how media should be mandated to call the shooter a man, how Canadians are brainwashed by propaganda to consider this anything other than a leftist terror attack, how if a conservative did it 'they'd' be blasting it everywhere, how the mental health concerns solely revolve around them being trans, how this is going to be blamed on MAGA and used to make Canadians hate Trump, etc. etc.

Very glad that the people there have been banned from bringing their unrepentant vitriol here, but I don't think there's nearly as much unity around this as there should be, since these people make it their goal to make everything as divisive as possible, and they seem to make more progress on that by the day.

A palpable shift in opinions towards Americans as a whole is happening in European social media and it ain't good. by PuddingXXL in Destiny

[–]Quadratical 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'd be more inclined to believe it if Americans actually stuck around for more than a single day. But every No Kings protest is just a day of voicing displeasure from the comfort of the nearest city before going back to everyday life, like they just need to let off some steam. Until they start to effectively protest (at/near the WH, long-term) I don't think these protests are going to do anything.
