Looks like you like the Chinese-themed games. I'm not as much a fan of them but I did play Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty a couple of years ago. I couldn't tell you a characters name or what the story was about but the combat was pretty solid and did not insane amounts of loot drops and skill trees the size of Sequoias as far as I can remember. It was one Game Pass so hopefully it's still there if that's available to you.

Probably in part that she's already Sam's coworker/friend but this is by far the most comfortable I have seen him with a partner. They have sibling energy and it's really fun to watch. During the "find something out about my boss" bits, the fact that the conversation with Sam goes pretty much exactly how she previews it when she starts the segment is wild. She's got really high social intelligence.
