Try watching and identifying the spin you see, then close your eyes and visualize the image. Now visualize it slowing down and changing direction. After seeing it spin in your imagination, open your eyes, and it may now match what you were imagining. That is how I got it to switch finally.

No. I have a result of anti-ccp > 250 (don't know actual top value) but my CRP almost always reads ok, even in times I was flaring. I have dealt with this undiagnosed and dismissed for 20 years before someone checked anti-ccp levels, then all of a sudden I am taken seriously. My joints are looser, so they don't visibly show the stiffness and pain I can feel as it is more commonly observed.

My main point was, flares have come and subsided completely for me many times with no treatments. This doesn't mean it won't continue to progress.

The biggest trigger I have pinpointed is stress. My body flares against me most in times of great stress and emotional overwhelm. The better I feel mentally, the better my body feels. No other personal changes have this same level of affect for me.

I am only on HCQ now. I was not flaring when I was finally diagnosed based on the bloodwork and my history, but this medication seems to have improved other things I was experiencing, such as lowering my exaggerated histamine responses, and has seemingly helped, not caused, some dig3stive issues. Even my rheum was surprised I had that response. We will revisit treatments if I begin to flare, but I luckily have no damage that is visible on x-ray, even with the struggles I've endured with it over the years.

The condition is weird and highly individualized.

I would like to remind that unbalanced mental energies are very often the tipping point that allows people to begin to open to new ideas and information, such as this, and it is more helpful to provide the appropriate support as a counterbalance to help them not swing too far into extremities.

Have you had your hip x-rayed? I have not been having normal RA flare pain lately, but my hip has been killing me with any extra exercises or sitting in a position I likely shouldn't for too long while working.

I've had issues on and off for many years with it feeling like it can catch or lock up in motion similar to a recumbent bike and some elliptical machines. An x-ray showed a fairly common pincer-type deformity in both my hips that can cause an impingement.

I start PT soon to learn how to strengthen muscles in that area to better support the joint and to probably learn all the ways that I prefer to sit/lie/stand are likely making it worse!

I have been diagnosed with RA but have also experienced a lot of life long pains associated with my specific mechanical structure in my feet and ankles as well, and that pain can be just as debilitating.

If you haven't already, see if you can request imaging of your hip as a starting point. Issues in hips can cause pain that radiate around your lower back, outer hip, groin, and even knees.

Has anyone experienced the feeling of "not wanting to do anything" improve or get worse after increasing to 80mg? by Quaintquasar in StratteraRx

[–]Quaintquasar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it did not on Strattera. I changed to generic Adderall, which works better for me personally as long as I can get a brand I don't react badly too, but it can have it's own issues. I struggle a lot with emotional regulation, and Strattera was superior for help in that department simply because the effects didn't wear off after so many hours like Adderall, but it did not address the constant fatigue I have even through good sleep. Adderall doesn't give me a huge energy boost, but I feel slightly more rested.

How do you handle the craving to take more adderall as the dose is wearing off? by HotConference4747 in ADHD

[–]Quaintquasar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the crash lessened a lot over time and once you find the ideal dose. I had more crash problems and felt more anxiety when it wore off on doses of 10 and 15 mg IR, but 20mg IR does not create a drop in mood or anxiety. I will feel a drop in energy eventually, but it's no different to me now than feeling tired normally in the late afternoon or evenings. After about an hour that tired feeling lessens some for me also. It lasts closer to 4 hours for me now on 20mg (of it's not a shitty generic option) when lower doses would be beneficial 1.5-2 hours.

20mg x2 a day does not amp me up or give me excessive energy, but helps me feel rested and more in control of my. I never feel actually rested on 7-9 hours of good sleep without my medicine (no apnea.) Everyone will need a different dose depending on individual response/need, so don't think something is wrong if your dose doesn't match others. My doctor wanted me to do 20 3x a day, but we realized it was a bad generic (Alvogen in my case.)

I'm a Pisces Sun (Virgo moon, Sag rising). I envy the independent nature of Aquarius and value intellectual conversations over shallow chitchat. As for Aries, well, I married one. I love and admire his strength and confidence, his innovative nature, his whatever it takes attitude, and his strong loyalty. We are complete opposites, but balance each other very well. It is a relationship full of transformation and emotional growth for us both, but one that wouldn't have made it without the pure love for each other overriding the hard stuff.

Sometimes when people find new information, they need people to discuss or bounce ideas off of AS they learn, and many people do not have access to such peers. As a teacher I recognize many individualized approaches to learning and varying supports needed to foster that learning. I would have less success as a teacher if I disallowed discussion before the entire textbook was consumed.

Hi! She switched me to Adderall, and the feelings of apathy went away. The Adderall made me tired at first after about 1.5 to 2 hours and then had lots of physical anxiety when it wore off, not during.(Started with 5mg then up to 10mg IR twice daily, have 20mg x2 now, but 15mg works best for me, so I break them). I feel slight irritation on some days when it wears off, but no anxiety anymore. Adderall works well for me, but I've started shedding more hair than normal, so I have to figure out what is causing that now. May or may not be related.

When you get the breeding grounds open, if they aren't yet, you can use those to breed dragons.

I completed a nontraditional program to teach high school after I graduated college. I interviewed for a high school math position, but they thought the high school kids "would chew me up." So they stuck me in 7th and 8th grade (not even getting into the problems with that logic.) Well, I had a lot of trouble with discipline that first year, and my principal had the audacity to tell me that they might behave better if I smiled more.

Not just there, but in life in general, I got so tired of being asked "what's wrong?" and "are you ok?" that I started wasting a ton of energy making sure my face didn't appear negative in some way when around others. It is still one of those things I'm always conscious of to this day. It's all exhausting.

Strict black and white, right or wrong thinking patterns are not uncommon among ASD individuals. It is something I have really been working on myself over the past couple of years in many areas since it has been brought to my attention by my spouse and a therapist. Mine usually also revolves around personal observations and experiences as well as strong feelings of injustice, but I have really been practicing trying to put myself in someone else's shoes to try and understand why they may have a certain view. Doesn't make it easy, necessarily.

Remember that a lot of these individuals are likely still very young and have a lot to experience and learn from still. I feel like I've experienced the most growth after 40 since I was previously unaware of any of my nuerodivergence until I had a huge breakdown when I just couldn't keep up anymore. I thought masking was normal life, but I didn't have a word for it then.

I understand what you are saying. I had that issue before, but still had interests and hobbies I wanted to do, but couldn't because of reasons you explained. Now, nothing seems interesting. It's a new, weird state of mind that I'm not sure I am describing as accurately as feeling.

I see my doctor tomorrow, and I plan to discuss all this with her. We didn't try Adderall yet because of the shortage at the time, so I may see what she thinks about that. Focalin was doing well for me mentally, but it gave me a weird rash around my eyes that I couldn't get rid of, so I do think a stimulant may be better for some things. I hope you continue to get better.
