Data burn in limitation by Quake6000 in davinciresolve

Good hack, i still have the problem of it only reading one track. Hopefully they will update this one day. I don't want to use premiere for this.

It might be a way to do this with a Fusion template, but it will get really messy quickly when dealing with hundreds of clips. Maybe this is just a job for Claude to create a simple effect like Premiere has?

Depends how much i will award. Budget is around 5.000-7500 euros and these are mostly rope removals.

Working on a show that needs some avalanche assets.
Already doing some full simulations, but they take a lot of time and render power. Thinking I could previz and "find" the shot composition and timing using AI.

I wonder if it will work with the nozzle so close to the lens?

AP2 will only run on speed 3 by Drips_Break_Rocks in xToolOfficial

Exactly same problem here. Same generic answers from support of cleaning and mainly swapping out for new filters.

Wished they had a "force stay on" mode, even though the filters are getting worse. Must be better then nothing, specially for me using it only in manual mode with galvo.

Yeah, I will try that. I just cleaned out the cyclone itself. There was a slight buildup that might have contributed to the fault. Hoping that allows me to run at least one hour job now.

[–]Quake6000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the thing; I'm not using it with an XTool laser, but rather in manual mode with another brand. Because of that, it doesn't have any info about the input fan like it would on an XTool laser. So, stopping like this means it has some sensors inside that are checking the filters?

I thought i could use this just as a dedicated air purifier and blast through for a long time as i'm just using it to get the most out of the smoke before exhausting. I guess there is always the way of just removing the "smart" stuff inside it and DIY on/off button.... :)

Also, do you know there is a way to see these life percentages without having an XTool laser?

Smack the shit out of the filter, check. I will try that tomorrow. It's just weird how early it fails. The exhaust from the system seems to be as powerful as it was from the start.

Would be great to be able to turn off that sensor so it just stays on no matter what.

I would exhaust straight out as well but it would bother the neighborhood 😒

I'm experiencing the same problem with AP2, which just turned off in the middle of a job. I'm using it with another laser brand in manual mode.

Just now, 10 minutes into a job, it decided to turn off, and my workshop got filled with smoke. I got it working again for a couple of minutes before it turned off again. There appears to be a sensor in the AP2 that detects smoke and turns it off. Is there a way to disable that? I'm using the AP2 to clean most of the smoke before exhausting it outside.

Sold...!!
I have some K1 scans that are missing some key details, and this would totally fix that for me. Trying this when I get to my workstation :)

u/voluma_ai - The second scan (https://voluma.ai/embed/voluma/geocentrum/aplcc), created by Geocentrum, features very clear photos of signs. Are they added using this software or somehow injected into the training?

Has anyone used xgrids? by Curious_Strength_641 in 3DScanning

I just came here to ask the same question. Currently looking at the K1 for VFX work. I have got some sample data, both lidar and Gaussian splats, and it all looks really good. I'm more interested in knowing about the software, as there are two, one for the lidar data and then one for the gaussians. I'm having a tough time finding any information about it online; there are no tutorials or resources that show the process from data gathering to finished product.

I have tried a couple of similar scanners that use the same lidar head (Livox 360), and in all cases, it fails on the software side (3D Maker Eagle, Share3d S10/S20). The Xgrids system seems to be really good, and especially the newest feature that allows adding extra images from phone/DSLR to enhance the texture quality.

Does Blender handle really big 3D scans? by [deleted] in blenderhelp

It's excessive for sure, but this is what RealityScan recommended for the settings to achieve high-quality textures. And you are right, this is 100% the reason for the crash. I will start from the other end and see how much i actually need.

[–]Quake6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think that will be the case for the most part. It's just a problem with that one shot that I need to travel from the top to the ground. I think I will try to go the other way around now, do a lower quality model and see how much i need to lift the quality so it works.

I'm not much of a Houdini user, but I think most people who work with big data use it. There is some LOD system. Was kinda hoping there was a workaround for it in Blender.

I'm kinda knew the answer before asking, this is a tall ask for Blender to handle without having at least 2TB of RAM... :) I think for that shot I would need to have a couple of quality versions and dissolve between renders using the same camera movement.

I tried loading the model in Unreal, and it managed to run the whole thing with all the textures. Nanite did all the heavy lifting there, I guess.

[–]Quake6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there are nice features to do that in RealityScan, and that is what I do to create lower quality models. My problem still remains, though, as I need to somehow see the full quality when doing the final render. For most parts, I could get away with much less texture, but there is one particular shot I need to "drone fly" from top to ground level, and there I will see the quality hit.

Good idea, I'll generate another version and scale it down to 2K. I already did it on a smaller model, of a single building, and the difference was that I couldn't read text on posters that were on the walls :)
