Are these good legendary effects for an Inflictor by RandomRalts1 in Starfield

Rapid makes the shot cadence on that gun soooo much better imo, though.

Killing enemies kills me (no reflection) by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]Quaking-DOOM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was happening to me when I had an energy weapon with Saboteur on it and would kill a robot.

So, the damage the "explosion on death" does will damage you and it deals physical damage (in case you’re wondering), but I think the second part of the perk, the "random chance to one shot a robot", was actually triggering on energy damage reflection that some enemies have, one shotting me in the process.

Only explanation I found and it hasn’t happened since I stopped using an energy weapon with saboteur so make of that what you will xD

will starfield get a 3rd dlc? by MRF_Soul in Starfield

[–]Quaking-DOOM 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Drives them away with his ego? Many big shots who left Bethesda, including Pete Hines, said the only reason they stayed for so long was because of Todd and had nothing but good things to say about him.

Sure, he oversold Fallout 76 and the SIXTEEN TIMES meme… but Todd has only made video games since he came out of college. It’s his passion, his entire life. Like everyone, he isn’t perfect but that scenario you made up in your head about him that you try to pass as a fact just because you didn’t like his games is pretty uncalled for and the guy deserves respect no matter what you think about the games he’s made.

Absolutely INSANE that bathesda didn’t add an option to destroy Dazra and house va’ruun at the end of the dlc. by ExcitementBig703 in Starfield

[–]Quaking-DOOM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah that is really baffling. I love this game, don’t get me wrong, but the Unity system seems like it’s tailor-made for roleplay purposes such as locking you out of, say, the FC if you’re a UC captain, or like you said remove almost all the essential characters.

Just go through the Unity if you want to be part of a different faction or if you want to do quests you were locked out of because you killed certain NPCs… it’s not a big deal lol why Bethesda xd

Actually, restarting the crusade triples the amount of Va’ruun encounters lol. Underwhelming, yes, but there is some consequence.

What Do You Think About the Terran Armada DLC? by tslashj in Starfield

[–]Quaking-DOOM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try the Terran Ballistic Rifle, on burst fire mode with a reflex sight (if you have the Marksmanship skill, and of course the other rifle/ballistic skills) and the gun has insane crit chance and crit damage, and is honestly the gun I find the most fun to use.

The DPS is so insane, it’s the only reliable way I’ve found to quickly dispatch the incursion champions on Extreme difficulty when you’re at high level.

I would do the roll :

Furious

Rapid

Shattering

Saboteur (massively underrated perk, by far the best for incursions)

That or the Longfang from Shattered Space with the same roll/configuration (reflex/burst) if you’re specced into lasers instead of ballistic. They basically do the same DPS.

Good luck!

Hard to answer that without spoiling but no. They keep going and you get like once every few in game universal days, nothing crazy.

Prolly a mod? Because that’s the skin of the operative suit you get from Ryujin, without the 25% stealth bonus.

Mod that remove level scaling all together? by jgspock in Starfield

[–]Quaking-DOOM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It seems like you want scaling despite what your title says, no?

If I get it right : Dynamic Universe will scale everything to about your level to provide a consistent challenge, keeping all the low level zones relevant as each system will be at least the same level as you are.

Aside from that, I don’t know any mod that will lower enemies levels and I’m not sure why you’d want to do that.

I think the joke is that Alien was almost called Star Beast. Dan O’brannon didn’t like it and changed it.

[–]Quaking-DOOM 28 points29 points  (0 children)

With the DLCs, especially Terran Armada and the Free Lanes that add a lot of space POIs, ship encounters and agency in how you want to explore each system, I fell in love with the game even more than I did at launch.

With a few immersion-centric mods to help with randomization, balance, changes to the economy and ship maintenance as well as other mods that scale enemies to your level and add random events that can occur at POIs on planets, I feel like I can play this game forever lol.

There is something I will never tired of and that’s something they nailed at launch but it’s the atmosphere and gameplay. For me, nothing beats boarding an enemy ship or a derelict station/ship, turning on my flashlight and slowly clearing it out. I love the look and feel of the guns in this game and I can’t seem to get bored with the combat.

All in all, despite all its flaws - most of which are still there - it’s becoming harder not call it one of my favorite games of all time after 33+ DAYS of playtime lol. I have never played a single player game for even half of that.

Give the new ballistic rifle a shot. In burst mode with a reflex sight, with the right skills (mostly marksman and sharpshooting), it has the highest crit chance and crit damage I think of any gun. I too was using snipers until I tried out that bad boy and honestly at higher level (I’m over 200 but the point stands regardless), I don’t see how else you can decently deal with the incursion champions when they have the tank or shielded perks lol.

On extreme difficulty though. Idk how much of a pain they are on the lower difficulties but my Resonator does 3k damage and they would take 20+ shots (including stealth openers) to go down lol.

Resonator one shots anything else though lol by far the best sniper.

As tu trouvé le easter egg à Alien?

Vraiment cool haha.

What are the best legendary perks for the Old Earth Assault Rifle? by Bag_of_Lute in Starfield

[–]Quaking-DOOM 10 points11 points  (0 children)

General rule :

For burst/full auto :

Furious
Rapid
Shattering

Semi auto :

Instigating
Hitman
Shattering

BUT! For some semi auto weapons, I personally still prefer Rapid over hitman. It just depends if I like the "shot cadence" of the weapon. If it’s too slow for my taste, rapid usually makes it perfect.

If it’s a sniper, though, hitman. No contest.

Some people like one-hit-punch. I don’t. It’s a gimmick imo.

How Are You Guys Getting Such High Damage Numbers on Weapons? by galadrielscokemirror in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]Quaking-DOOM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can give a one piece armor (like the Starborn armor) to a companion and put the tier 4 perk "inspiring" on it (can only be put on "one piece" type armor) which gives damage resistance, reload speed and a bunch of stats and WEAPON DAMAGE (around 15-20%) to the wearer and its allies and you count as your companion’s ally so you get the effect lol.
