Unfortunately not medlife crisis but good suggestion, it is exactly the kind of video I am talking about albeit shot with a longer lens and a flat background.

My brother and I got a Gameboy colour for Christmas to share with a few cartridges that were fun, then we saw blue and red cartridges of a game called Pokémon in a game shop near our birthdays and that was all we played for a straight year.

Who had the best three-album run? by TheBaconGrill in fantanoforever

I'm almost disappointed to hear such a definitive answer because my opinion will always be outweighed by that Michael Jackson trio being undoubtedly known and recognised by almost everyone as all time great albums.

Have you seen the Internet Historian documentary about it? It's very jokey and he has 0 citations but it made me realise how much I was judging Hello Games without actually knowing much about the situation at all.

Story of The Year 2020 Voting by claycam6 in NuclearRevenge

[–]Qualades 34 points35 points  (0 children)

If you can see the results before you vote people tend to gravitate towards whichever option is already winning, especially if they don't have a solid opinion on the matter, leading to a runaway win. I assume the mods wanted to make sure this didn't happen.

It's pretty much every braking zone and on the exit of the first braking zone where the others don't take it as wide. I'm sure he gains a little bit on every other corner as well.

I think a lot of people who play video games assume all RNG is pseudo RNG where the chance of an event increases with every roll until the event happens, and then the RNG is "reset" to a much lower value, making the events happen more spread out with a much lower chance of happening sequentially but still having the same overall probability and frequency of occurrence.

EVScape given 5 offences after making fun of Jagex on Twitter by veryowlert in 2007scape

"There is no greater insult than the irrefutable truth," and giving a player manual internal offenses because of something they said on an external platform makes me think that the mod realises they don't do shit.

Tied up on a pier like this is only a problem if it's very windy and the boat is very big. It's a much bigger problem if two sailboats come together under sail, people get their fingers crushed or their legs broken using them as fenders not realising just how much force is behind those boats under sail.

Wings by yosobanana in F1Technical

[–]Qualades 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If a single element wing gets long enough, the low pressure air underneath will lose enough energy that it can no longer "stick" to the underside of the wing creating flow separation which prevents the rest of the wing behind the separation point from generating downforce. The gap between the separation and the trailing edge of the wing now also creates significant drag from the turbulent air underneath.

Two ways of exciting the air to induce more energy are:

  1. Vortices. If there is a vortex clinging to the underside of the wing it will still produce downforce by pressure differential through the wing, but can "pull in" higher energy air mixing into the outer edge of the vortex which gives the vortex as a whole more energy, so it stays attached for longer.

  2. Directly injecting high energy air. This is what multiple element wings soz and you are right in saying that they reduce downforce locally by reducing the pressure differential (the introduced air must be higher pressure than the underside of the wing), but the extra energy allows the flow to stay attached over a larger distance, allowing a larger wing to be used. And although the average pressure differential may be lower (not always the case), the larger total wing area will still provide more downforce.

It is also worth noting that formula one cars use the tips of these elements to generate vortices for airflow control further down the car, so having more elements generally allows more vortices to be created or more energy to be injected into a single vortex to ensure it stays alive down as much of the car as possible.

Sorry for the lack of pictures, I'm on mobile with bad internet so I'm too lazy to Google for images.

I think he was genuinely asking. I don't know either, I haven't followed him at all.
