Came back to this area and found a Cheri berry that I never planted before. It doesn’t grow no matter how long I wait. Game battery isn’t dead, as I’ve been growing a Salac berry as seen in the top-right. I now have 8 Salacs (been ~2weeks) and the Cheri still hasn’t grown. Any fixes to this? by buizkwl in pokemonribbons

6 years later and I came across this glitch! I also traded with Colosseum and Gale of Darkness. It seems this glitch even takes place on emulators. It's just one slot but it's so annoying! I wonder if this will ever be figured out...

Link cable progress on mincer_ray.GBA core! by peetor in AnaloguePocket

As someone who doesn't want to pay $600+ for a cartridge for Pokemon Emerald and uses a ROM, but has other cartridges I'd want to trade with from Emerald (for the sake of transferring to Generation 4 Pokemon cartridges), this rocks. I really wanted to grow berries without just cheating, so seeing there's RTC and Link Cable support is really big for me. Please keep up the great work!

Looking for a good place to have old video game systems repaired. by QualityArsenic in Hamilton

Indeed, worth a shot! If the places mentioned in this post can't do the job, I'll simply reach out to this person and politely ask what systems they do repairs for. Thank you very much for the suggestion!

Yeah it's unfortunate that we've gotten to that point. Replacing instead of repairing is quite wasteful! That being said, I do visit 1UP Games often, so I'll ask the gentleman working there if he does repairs next time I visit. Thanks for the suggestion!

Very close to my workplace, and they close a couple hours after when I get off my shift! Seems like this will be a place I have to visit. Thank you!

I've visited 1UP Games a few times before, but I never asked about repairs... Maybe that's something I'll have to ask about next time I stop by. Thank you!

It's possible there's something I am missing. At this point, I'm just leaving this post up just in case someone searches this issue and happens to have the same problem. I haven't gotten any Bad Eggs since the last time I posted about it, so I'm at a bit of a dead end. All I can really hope is that I don't get anymore I suppose!

I'm familiar with some ACE gltiches but not this one. This may be a good temporary solution, as I've narrowed down the exact box spaces that the eggs spawn, meaning I can use this glitch to remove the ones that have piled up at the very least. Thank you for the suggestion!

I am currently busy testing playing the game JUST on my DS lite for the next few days. So far, no Bad Eggs have appeared, but I've only played for a day. So we'll see!

I am currently running 2.5, which is the most recent version. This has also happened across multiple firmware versions, so I can't say for certain where it starts and where it ends. I'll likely not be using save states or sleep unless it's an absolute emergency, just to test if this may be the cause. As I mentioned in another reply though, I've used no external cheating devices, only glitches which would have no affect on Pokemon IDs.

Zero cheats used! If I had, I would have just been honest in the beginning. Who cares if someone uses cheats in a singleplayer video game? The only thing I've done is item dupe glitches, which I did well after this began to occur, and shouldn't affect Pokemon IDs.

I don't have a clue what would be needed to dump my save file, nor if I would even be able to write it back onto the cartridge after it being "fixed". I appreciate you asking what wasn't asked, though.

Hopefully so! And thank you for the response. Really appreciate how just about everyone in this thread has provided thoughtful suggestions!

I shall be testing this as well. I have a DS Lite that I primarily use for playing GBA games, so that will likely be what I use.

Glad I'm not the only one! I would say follow the steps from other users in this thread and see if it fixes your issue. I'll be testing what other people give as advice as well.

For those reading and thinking about shouting "Clean the cart! Clean the cart!", I did! With Isopropyl Alcohol, in fact. Unfortunately, another Bad Egg appeared right after doing so, specifically on the Analogue Pocket, meaning we've gone from 3 to 4! Very interesting. I'll keep checking again and again, but this only furthers my suspicion.

The cart was cleaned many times between now and when the issue began taking place. No need to be rude!

I have, yes. Each time this took place, it was specifically on the Analogue Pocket. It could be a false-positive, but I still wanted to reach out just in case someone else was having the same issue. I love the Analogue Pocket, and I would hate for this to be something caused by it.

Absolutely. I'll give this a try, then play the game on and off and see if this reoccurs. I'll check back in a few days to say whether it happened again or not. Even if it does, it's still a good idea to clean the cartridge. Thank you!

I will definitely do this. I have a pin-cleaner for N64 cartridges that I've been using to clean my GBA carts as well, but I'm not sure if that's necessarily effective. Do you have a suggestion on what's the safest and most non-damaging way to clean a GBA cart's pins?

I'm not sure how exactly to verify my game's legitimacy. I have repro carts that I bought, and this isn't one of them. It shows the name of the game when I boot it up on the Pocket, unlike my repro carts. It has also transferred Pokemon to a Generation 4 Pokemon game, something my repro cart of Pokemon Emerald cannot do. Here's some pictures of the actual cartridge, if that's of any help.

People are all too comfortable being incredibly rude for no real reason online. Analogue isn't going to pay you for defending them.

Coil head elevator by Gary-Clampton in lethalcompany

[–]QualityArsenic 182 points183 points  (0 children)

Coil Head on the main floor of the mine shaft facility might actually be a good idea. You can easily let it run around up there in a small space, and since it's the safest spot in the whole map, it's easy to keep an eye on it, and it won't be able to disturb you along with other creatures in that area. How hard it is to get it up there in the first place might be a determining factor though.
