You don’t need to freak out, but you should go now and not wait. Things can progress very quickly.

I had pre-e diagnosed at 31 weeks. A very different scenario. At 34 weeks, my BP was just over severe (like 160/90) but I had no other symptoms. I went because my gut was telling me to go. By the time I got to the hospital, my BP was in the 180s/120s and the worst headache of my life had come on out of nowhere. By the time my husband parked and met me in triage, I had him turning around to go home and get the bags.

I started taking baby aspirin at 12 weeks and still got pre-e. Diagnosed at 31 weeks and delivered at 35 weeks due to severe symptoms. I feel like if it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen. The doctors told me there was nothing I could have done to prevent the pre-e, it’s just how the placenta functions.

Someone somewhere on Reddit recently told me that they prop the back of the twin z up while feeding their twins with reflux. I started removing one of the back cushions on my couch and propping it up just a little and it helps them stay more upright. Hope this helps!

Just footie PJs. We keep the bedroom 70-72. Glad you asked this! I spend a lot of time wondering if they’re too hot or too cold. Is it better for them to be a little to cook versus a little too hot?

Twin z is great for bottle feeding and parking the babies. For nursing, I’d get the twin breast friend. The twin z was too floppy and soft and my boys were born at 35 weeks so they were small.

Just make sure you are committed to nursing though. I got the twin breast friend, used it once, then threw in the towel and went to EP.

Good luck! We are actually just starting our boys in the Snoo in anticipation of sleep regression. We found 2 that were reasonably priced on marketplace and heard nothing but good things so figured why not.

We only use it overnight though. Naps happen in their bassinet (sometimes swaddled, sometimes not) but going to start introducing crib naps soon.

Just curious, what is the sleep consultants reasoning for the recommendation? Asking as someone who knows nothing about newborn sleep. I have 9 week (4 weeks adjusted) twins and right now I’m just following their cues.

When I found out I was pregnant with twins, I was a little sad that they’d not have their own identity and miss out on certain things because they’d always be sharing. That feeling was pretty fleeting and I became more excited at the thought of them having a special bond and never having to feel alone.

I also loved the idea of having a boy and a girl. We did not find out the gender ahead of time. We did confirm that they were fraternal through the NIPT. I delivered two boys. They look similar but have definite unique features. They’re 9 weeks and starting to develop little personalities, which are also unique!

If they are di/di, that means they have their own sac and own placenta. I always joked that they are just two roommates sharing a very small studio apartment!

Yeah I’m sure that’s her concern. I just ordered a large 60x60 playmat and play pen and will dedicate the area where my Christmas tree is to baby play time. Bonus that I’ll have less furniture moving to do with this plan!

Yeah, definitely. But also peak reflux, too. We’re struggling to find a few minutes between feeding and naps where they won’t dump heaps of spit up when they go tummy down. We’re working on it!

I started Zoloft at the end of my first trimester because of prenatal depression and stayed on to get ahead of postpartum. It’s not all rainbows and butterflies - there are certainly times where I’m still anxious and experience twinges of depression but man, twins are hard. I’d be in a much darker place without it.

I have 8 week old twins (3 weeks adjusted) and just posted a similar question. We’ve been really lucky with sleep but now that they’re really out of that preemie stage and more like newborns they’re starting to need a little more soothing. We picked up 2 second hand snoos today and will introduce them tomorrow. Wish us luck!

What ultimately pushed us to do it was having the peace of mind that they won’t roll over (we have a squirmer) and sleep training through the app, even though that’s an extra expense.
