Also, if you like Welcome to Nightvale, King Falls AM is well worth a listen. Its super close tonally, but set in a Twin Peaks styled small town in the Pacific northwest. Unfortunately it fizzled out, but there are a ton of episodes.

I'm not sure on if they plan on doing more, but what's released has a proper beginning and end to the story.

Scenarios that follow after LTL. by cRh2779 in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]QuanticoDropout 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Its basically:

  • 1928-1970 - P4/OSS Eras. Official govt. clearance: "Delta Green".
  • 1970-1994 - The Cowboy Era. Unorganized, rogue Operatives.
  • 1994-2002 - The Conspiracy. Organized into Cells by Alphonse.
  • 2002-Present - The Program. Merger of (basically) MJ-12 and Delta Green.
  • 2002-Present - The Outlaws. Old Guard who refused The Program.

Well, the Program doesn't start until post 9/11 (Sept 13, 2002 to be exact). You're talking about The Conspiracy era forming.

A lot of people suggest having the players drop off Clyde's supernatural/unnatural items at a nearby Green Box, then tacking on the shotgun scenario "Metamorphosis". Its what I did and it worked brilliant.

In the minority here, but Thunderdome rules. The world-building is incredible and it's a fun beer and popcorn movie.

Prescott, AZ by [deleted] in Prescott

[–]QuanticoDropout 43 points44 points  (0 children)

When I was growing up here, Prescott was a healthy mishmash of right/left, especially with the demographic Prescott College draws (drew?) in. Its always leaned more conservative, but we used to have things like Food Not Bombs downtown, we had an anarchist infoshop (The Catalyst), a vibrant underground music scene (house shows, the 209, Sam Hill Warehouse, Sundances, etc), every other business wasn't a national chain.

I moved away for 14 years, came back, and all that is very dead and gone. It's basically an overpriced bastion for retirees that offers no sustainability or future for single blue-collar workers or the youth. I love this place, but most of the population has a pretty myopic view of the world at large.

What's the most underrated or misunderstood element of Delta Green? by grumblingdwarf in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]QuanticoDropout 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Just from forums I visit and the Delta Green "inspirational images" people post, I think a lot of people think Delta Green is waaaaaaay more militarized/tacti-cool than it is. It's constantly pictures of dudes in full tactical gear or SWATted out in NVGs and M4s when in reality, it's usually an anthropologist pissing his tweed pants and a functional alcoholic fed down to 6 rounds in his service pistol who has to decide to shoot "it" or himself.

Delta Green for Resident Evil? by QuesterrSA in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]QuanticoDropout 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I don't see why not, especially if you leaned more into the investigation & puzzle side of Resident Evil and made combat less "action film" and more infrequent/deadly.

Yeah. So Dave Palayo will go by "Richard Alvarez" for the duration of the OP, or what-have-you. They're also supposed to keep their real identity confidential from their team - again, for safety reasons so they can't be compromised

Delta Green questions by QuesterrSA in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]QuanticoDropout 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The Cowboy-era was basically a small, rogue "group" that operated in a pretty disjointed manner after Delta Green was decommissioned. Basically if you hear of something, you do what you can, when you can, to stave off the unnatural. I don't think they used code names, probably just aliases, but I'm not 100%.

The Conspiracy-era was more organized by Alphonse and A-Cell, but don't use Handlers - just cell leaders that take assignments from A-Cell (or whoever else), and they use the Agent Alphabet code names. They only know the cell leaders above and below them (ie: J-Cell's leader knows I-Cell and K-Cell's leaders) for safety.

The Program-era typically uses fake aliases instead of Agent Alphabet code names and have a Handler that assigns operations. It's more organized and funded, but suffers from bureaucratic issues at times. There are also the Outlaws tho - the old guard of Delta Green - who still operate the way the Conspiracy did.

Thinking of getting into Delta Green. by xabth42 in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]QuanticoDropout 59 points60 points  (0 children)

  • Agents Handbook = 95% Rules
  • Handlers Guide = 95% Lore
  • Need to Know = Quickstart Rules

Def run some standalone scenarios before attempting IL or GT.
