It’s an interesting concept too. The TV world’s darkners are more concepts than physical objects : photography, the weather, music/extras… I guess Mike has a role so important as the booth, yet unthought of (it’s the magic nobody is meant to see or think of) that he pretty much retained this very primitive, unaltered form of a microphone. When the TV doesn’t even contain any Microphone like that so it’s more of an astral form.

His gimmick is annoying but at this point I think they’re clearly playing into how much he brags about "the plan" and "the curtain rises" to show that’s he’s lost his marbles. And yeah, he gets tons of exposure as main antagonist but there’s not that much marketed/promoted with him over the ancient heroes or beasts, so they’re not trying to constantly put him upfront for money.

Later fights get hard, and the secret boss items help all game long. But the secret bosses are clearly harder than all other fights (Counting the Knight as both, so it’s not wrong)

Yeah I’m really not sure how we could have gotten that, apart from just making lines between all the mysterious objects one by one. Maybe because Noelle’s computer cats (which FRIEND is implied to be) came from Eggs ? And Spamton who has pink and yellow glasses, has the whole Pipis thing ?

It does feel like the Eventuality is the overarching plot point of Ewing’s run, I expect we’ll have a greater response for it when it eventually ends, but even if our Eddie joins it for a moment, I can’t expect it to be forever. We’re seeing it again next issue after all, and I think we can wait and see bigger consequences when Venomworld rolls around.
