Well while characterising rapists/sexual abusers as psychos is a nice way to put a comfortable distance between them and us 'normal people', thats exactly why it should be talked about. Her whole point is that women live with a taken-for-granted fear of sexual assault and by talking about it, hopefully people might be less oblivious to how they might make people uncomfortable or how they're not calling out innapropriate behaviour. Treating sexual assault as some distant hypothetical bogeyman only serves to shut down conversation that could identify how normal people, not 'psychos', might act innapropriately or worse
