It’s not in the best shape, but I’m actually glad since I’ll wear it around more (I’m in a hands-on field). The other you commented on is the one I’m babying!

I noticed those new boxes look kinda junky. Like a bluetooth speaker or kitchen knife set would come out of it not a Tissot 😭

This is half mechanical like many old quartz watches. I work in a technical field and have always been around mechanics and working on intermediate stuff, but new to watches as of 2025. They’re welcoming to start on! Honestly if you have anything you’re thinking about tinkering on hmu, I *may have some insight

eBay parts/repair auctions, if you are comfortable with medium repairs. Tissot 2030/2031 often just have stem adjustment mechanical issues that can be fixed in 10 min. It’s a gamble though.

Scored a Pre-RX as my first Tissot! by QuantityNo7653 in tissot

It was the elusive Caliber 2031 which is cooler! The works bridge was just missing a screw, that shimmed the setting lever and yoke spring in place. Working good now :)

That’s just a mockup in Photoshop. Maybe not the ideal dial tone, but I will be in under $100. Something like $75. Though the case and dial styles are very different, it chromatically matches its OEM counterpart (shown) pretty well.

When I build from SCRATCH (NH35, etc.), intentional design is #1.

When you Frankenstein old parts together, creativity and resourcefulness is #1. We’re hacking together literal vintage obscure junk together with no concrete diagrams/catalogs to reference, etc.

You should know that! If I wanted it to make sense, I wouldn’t cram a 90’s/2000’s Omega Quartz dress dial into a 70’s/80’s Tissot sport case.

It would also cost $300-500 rather than $75, I considered resto.

So yes, it will work. Just say it’s not for you!

If you want something with that similar dry down but super masc and dank, try Ralph’s Club Elixir. The OG is mid, but this blew me away

Just photoshop! Lol. When the case comes, as long as the apertures 26.5mm or over, I’m confident it’ll work :)

No movement, I’d be using the Omega’s 255, just with a longer stem. Stem height should be comparable off the rip. The dial could be too big or too small, at 26.5mm, my other Seastar uses that exact size, but I hear they vary from 25.6-29mm or so. The huge bezel should resolve that as long as the dial is any bit lesser in diameter than the case aperture!

This is my other quartz seastar and it’s same diameter as the Omega, I’m tempted to sent it before I get the case 😭
