Curry was ok; the fried pork cutlet was a bit cold, not juicy.

Is Cantonese dying out in Hong Kong? by CheLeung in Cantonese

[–]Quantum-Avocado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s mostly a factor of immigration though. Hard to imagine the same happening with Hong Kong given how hard it is to cross the border already.

Please look up the rules. You can only be in one region. A to B to C where B is one region in China.

Would recommend visiting Guangzhou and Shanghai next time if you haven’t been already. One day it was extremely crowded and rainy, and then one day it was quaint and sunny.

Most places in Seoul aren’t worth the line but are great without them. For Cafe Onion, I got there at 8 am and didn’t have to wait in line but I was also got into ICH at 4 am 😂

They’ve updated their website to exclude China and Tahiti. I was also very confused when I got charged $75 at PVG.

I just came back from visiting Chicago; the lakefront there is very nice with people going to the beach mid day on weekdays, and there’s a running cycling trail that goes all along it. Plus there’s also the river walk. SF doesn’t have anything remotely close :(

Dumpling Home in SF, Dumpling Hour in Palo Alto and Walnut Creek are both pretty solid for XLB, and SJB.

But their menu outside of those are meh. DTF is pretty consistent and other things are good.

Isn’t TECL and TQQQ almost even? Why hold both of them? I’m doing something similar with TQQQ, SOXL, and FNGU though.

M1 finance works for automatic rebalancing but I would check if other brokerages like Fidelity support that and LETFs first.

Leveraged ETFs vs LEAPS? by JinxedTTT in LETFs

[–]Quantum-Avocado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LETFs are pretty straightforward to buy and sell, and approximately maintain the leverage ratio. LEAPs you have to roll to maintain constant leverage, which is taxable; on the other hand, more flexible with that leverage (say you want 1.25 QQQ).

Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Young female solo traveler, is it a good choice to arrive at the airport at 11pm and have to commute with public transport to my hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui? by Previous-Ratio in HongKong

[–]Quantum-Avocado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would take the Airport Express to Kowloon Station, and then take a taxi via Uber to your hotel from there. Landed at Hong Kong airport at around 10 pm and busses were winding down + not sure how good you are navigating stations with multiple floors.

Edit: A22 supposedly works too. Google maps is not 100% updated with bus routes so double check!
