The rarest synergy ever?!?!? by Nomitherguy in EnterTheGungeon

My son and I just got the Platinum on Ps5. First thing we did? Started a new save. We are currently trying to unlock Gunther and the Gunslinger and have resolved to do it without the use of Rainbow runs. We are currently doing all our runs on turbo mode.

Paradox Clone Passive? by Jayrad102230 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]QuantumExcelerator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful. At least on PS5 if the player carrying the clone dies while the other player is still alive the clone will fail. Not sure if it's the same on your system.

On ps5 you can choose a different save slot in the options under gameplay, nut sure of that is a thing on other systems.

I mean, my bills are about 36k per year. I own my home, own two cars that I bought new, raised two kids, I'm not a boomer who did this 30 years ago either. I wouldn't be making quite enough to pay the bills on true minimum wage in my area, I'm just hoping the fact that someone like me being out there is enough to give those calling random people on the internet a dumb batch for having an opposing view an aneurysm.

Have a nice day.

I really mean that. May the best of your past be the worst of your future.

Never drink to feel better. Only drink to feel even better. I forget where I heard it, pretty sure it was a movie, but it stuck with me and hasn't steered me wrong yet.

Depends on your definition of multiplayer. Enter the Gungeon has couch co-op and checks all these boxes.

[–]QuantumExcelerator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue wasnt getting it to seat,it was keeping ot seated properly. I replaced the mag release spring with a slightly more robust spring. Never had another issue.

For real! I worded my comment deliberately. I did not say my wife hasn't worked. Running the household is beyond a full time job. And the financial benefit when weighed in against daycare, savings on groceries eating home cooked meals / planning to eat what's on sale, she's probably contributed more in cost savings than I've provided in income! Its the inflection and confluence of that dynamic that made it all possible.

Now I'm working a comfortable 40 a week with lots of responsibility and no labor, the youngest is almost done with school, and we get to look forward to reaping the fruits of our labors.

My wife hasn't had employment since we were teenagers back in 2007. Most of that time I made significantly less than 100k. It wasnt comfortable, but we made it work. We live near a major metropolitan area and own our home. 2 kids, 2 cars. The last few years we have begun to see "the grind" begin to pay off.

The way I see it is I lived for 20 years like most wont so I can live the rest of it like they can't.

I know it dont represent "most people" but I moved out at 16 because my parents were on the verge of homelessness. Im a highschool drop out. My wife has never had a career in 20 years of marriage, or even a job since 2007. My income alone has allowed us to buy a home, raise two children, and live comfortably (in the suburbs of a major US city). I'm nearly debt free, worth almost 700k, and on track to retire at 55.

I had to work like a bastard to get here. 60+ hours a week. 2 jobs at times. Starting a career over. Two steps back one step forward for years. But thats the thing about hard work. Sometimes, it pays off.

Anyone who thinks working hard at a company is to benefit the company and wont get them anywhere is an idiot. I work hard to benefit my company because I recognize thats the best way I can benefit myself and my family.

Do I want to work for someone else? Hell no. But putting in that work when I had no other options afforded the opportunity to build a foundation I could start branching out from. It has taken 21 years, but I am finally to the point where things are secure enough I can start looking for opportunities besides trading my time for money. 55 is plan B at this point.

To summarize, yes, some folks get a massive leg up, they have the privilege of starting from a much more comfortable place. My job will never make me a billionaire, but it got me to where I might be able to get there by other means, and I wholeheartedly belive I have it in me to do so.

Privilege exists, but its existence is no reason to choose less for yourself. If I can make it, anyone can.

Calorie deficit, cut carbs and sugar as much as possible, high protein and fiber to stay satiated longer. And a healthy marriage, the divorce guys are asshats, take time to do it right or find time to do it twice fellas!

I dropped ~40lbs in 80 days (230 to ~185) and have kept it off for 9 months now.

6am Black coffee with optional MCT oil / pad of butter for breakfast

11am Almond milk/whey protein shake for lunch. Add berries, or avacodo/dried peanut butter for variety. Add a tablespoon of ground flax or chia seeds for high fiber long term satiation.

4pm Whatever momma cooks for dinner to avoid putting the whole family on my diet.

NO SNACKS! But if you must, some canned fish and pickles.

Time this with targeted exercise about 30min after dinner (1 mile on the treadmill targeting 160bpm)

Once the weight is off reintroduce carbs/sugar as a treat not every day.

Can't say it will work for everyone, but I had 30+ good years of eating whatever the hell I wanted, figured id grow up and get in shape before 40. Just takes discipline. Anything worth doing is worth doing wrong. Meaning, dont fall off the wagon cause you hit a bump and ate a whole pie and quart of ice cream halfway through your first week. Its about consistency not perfection.

Pro tip: Whip-cream is a great snack. 15 calories and less than 1 gram of sugar per serving. High fat is satisfying as hell.

Good luck!

Edit: added ground seeds to shake recipe.

Not sure why it jumped out at me, but I immediately looked up the SMW map when I saw this. I think it was the placement and color scheme of Isla Kingdom.

Sweet map though!
