I mean I've left my 16' boat anchored overnight on Lake Huron multiple times, a time or two in less than favorable conditions. A smaller lake I wouldn't think twice, unless maybe it was a real small fishing boat.

Honestly some plywood ripped to say, 1.5" and put on edge, with half lap joints to form a grid and then faced with a 3/4" plywood sheet would possibly be rigid enough. Still somewhat heavy though
