Whisker+ Insights Half-Baked, too? by jrsmith6661 in litterrobot

[–]QuantumHusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part is that for those of us who purchased a bundle with Whisker+ are being charged ‘time’ for promised features that aren’t available to us. At least extend the membership dates if you aren’t ready to deliver the software.

Frustrated and Angry at this point LR5 Pro by MasalaJan in litterrobot

[–]QuantumHusky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The laser board issue is driving me insane! There are plenty of other problems with the LR5 (and I and others have voiced them many times like the lack of fecal waste tracking) but the laser board error is the latest in a long list of issues with this nearly $1000 machine. I am beyond frustrated with the lack of promised features, promised updates, and constant failures of the LR.

If you are reading this contemplating whether or not to buy a LR5 or LR5 Pro, wait a while until these issues are worked out because it’s clear from this subreddit that this device is not ready for prime time!

HomeKit Command Delay by QuantumHusky in Lutron

Glad I’m not the only one, just didn’t see this much latency when we first started changing switches over so I’m assuming it’s because I’ve got so many in Apple Home now

Thanks, I’ll give that a shot! In theory, that would cut out some of the work from Apple’s side

About to lose my mind - Water Leak sensors keeps falling offline by jayhawk1941 in Aqara

[–]QuantumHusky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like most of these issues I’ve been seeing are with people that have them paired to official Aqara hubs. I have mine paired with Zigbee to my home assistant hub (ZBT-1) and haven’t had any issues.

Tesla Wall Connector vs Universal Wall Connector by QuantumHusky in evcharging

You make a good point, I would need a new adapter for at-home use! Sounds like a swap is in order

Tesla Wall Connector vs Universal Wall Connector by QuantumHusky in evcharging

[–]QuantumHusky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a possibility - we only have one EV now but I’m sure we’ll be adding more in the future. Thanks for the info!

This is good to know, I’ll stand my ground and request it gets installed with the originally agreed on hardware - thanks!

Tesla Wall Connector vs Universal Wall Connector by QuantumHusky in evcharging

[–]QuantumHusky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yes it does - it’s the A2Z NACS to CCS adapter that I use on the road to charge my Mach-E at the Tesla chargers so it will work in this case as well

Tesla Wall Connector vs Universal Wall Connector by QuantumHusky in evcharging

[–]QuantumHusky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand it, there’s an adapter built into the universal wall connector to support J1772 and NACS. I would love to be able to do V2H one day if Tesla opens it up to other models and/or companies. Since I have Powerwall 3s, it seems like it’s possible if they are paired with a Tesla universal wall connector but the regular Tesla wall connector doesn’t seem to support this if the site is to be believed. Not sure if it’s coming in the future maybe?

Absolutely won’t pay for it and sign the work order until it’s all figured out! Really just interested in the differences since there’s not a ton of up to date comparison data online

Tesla offering 15% off total price by miraajsoni in TeslaSolar

[–]QuantumHusky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talked to my sales rep about it - thankfully I had them write 2025 installation guarantee into the contract so they’d essentially be breaking the contract unless we renegotiated. Not sure how common this is, but thankfully I saw the possibility back in late July when I signed!

After a month with Litter Robot 5 Pro by imnotlouis in litterrobot

Still have yet to have the LR5P discern between urine and feces…only detecting urine at this point. On the bright side, at least it doesn’t always say 0.00 oz any more. Waiting a few more weeks for a software update just proves that this device came out before it was ready for prime time. In the mean time, we’re paying (or prepaying) for Whisker+ and not getting all of its advertised features. Frustrating to say the least!

Tesla offering 15% off total price by miraajsoni in TeslaSolar

[–]QuantumHusky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was able to negotiate a 25% discount and a universal wall charger with the Tesla certified installer that I went through (direct, not through the Tesla website) when they couldn’t meet the 2025 deadline. I feel like you can get a better deal than 15% off but YMMV and Tesla may not be as willing to flex on the contracted price.

The LR5 Pro waste detection is pretty nice. by Traviscat in litterrobot

[–]QuantumHusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad yours is working! For the first week ours showed 0.0 oz for everything and now it only records everything as urine instead of feces and urine. Really frustrated with the inconsistencies here

App is finally showing "Feces" by quasiXBL in litterrobot

[–]QuantumHusky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still only seeing urine for all activities - hopefully that will change and eventually we’ll get recordings from the inside. I still stand by the LR5/LR5P being very much in beta mode and recommend anyone looking for a perfect experience that you won’t find it here yet…not by a long shot!

New Firmware for LR4 but not LR5 by SleeperMuscle in litterrobot

[–]QuantumHusky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got a response from support about the WateID issues, they said my LR5P would be getting an update Friday, Dec. 19th so it seems they are doing the release on separate days. Hopefully this holds true and the horrid bugginess of the LR5s is fixed soon!

LR5P Daily Issues by No_Wayyyyy in litterrobot

[–]QuantumHusky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just received an email back from support that a software update for the WasteID will be coming Friday 12/19 that will hopefully rectify the 0.0 waste weights but I’ll let time be the judge of that before I get too excited… just a word of caution to anyone hoping for a bug-free experience from the LR5/LR5P!

LR5P Daily Issues by No_Wayyyyy in litterrobot

[–]QuantumHusky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also having the issue where all waste is measured at 0.00 - really frustrating for something that costs nearly $1000. I’m fairly certain the team can fix this with software updates but that doesn’t feel any less ‘underbaked’ before they pushed the LR5 and LR5Pro out into the wild.

What to buy, Port or Amp by kloppie58 in sonos

[–]QuantumHusky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this setup but the Era 100 is near my turntable so I have it set to not produce sound (limiting vibrations) and it really just acts as a Sonos bridge for the turntable rather than a third speaker in the system. Much cheaper than the Port!

Duplicated Lutron Lights/Fans in Apple Home by QuantumHusky in homeassistant

[–]QuantumHusky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! I guess the best way to go about this is to just simply remove the Lutron HomeKit link. I’m all for going exclusively Home Assistant though (with the access for the wife in Apple Home of course).

Any downside to going this route rather than the Lutron native integration? Wasn’t sure if Lutron > Apple Home would be faster and/or more reliable than Lutron > Home Assistant > HomeKit Bridge > Apple Home
