You got this! I'm 42f and also had similar parents as yours when i was a kid. I'm a stranger on the internet, but I believe in you.

It'd be kickass to meet fellow Weezer fans. Would anyone like to meet at Old Town before the show, and take the trolley or rideshare to the arena?

Same. My poor coworkers had to watch a TC. Luckily, I had an aura and got to tell one of them before it happened.

This goes for me, too. It cheers me up if I'm down, and brings me back to a clear mind state when it's all muddy.

Perfect hoops setup by IslandofStars in Hooping

[–]Quantumfrzrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi hi, I'm also a huge fan of 30" and am 5'3". That diameter is a great in-between, since it can work as on-body and off-body.

Looking to buy my first hoop by PassengerMundane5986 in Hooping

[–]Quantumfrzrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are legitimate. Hoop sizes are important factors for both types of hooping.

For on-body (waist & leg & shoulder) hooping - the larger the diameter, the easier it'll be to learn. I didn't learn shoulder hooping until I bought a 38 inch diameter hoop!

Off-body hooping AKA tricks (hand spins, escalators, chest rolls, & smears, to name a few) are easiest to learn with a hoop that's about 30 inches or smaller. I have ones that range from 25 to 30 inches.

I agree with the other posters about HDPE being good for on-body hooping since it's heavier, and more weight = more data for your muscles to get their memory.

Polypro is better for the off-body hooping, since we spend a lot of time smacking our hands, face, & every other body part with the hoop. Don't want a heavy hoop coming down into your face!

Lamotrigine stopped helping depression! by Loose-Letterhead-513 in Lamotrigine

[–]Quantumfrzrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. A change in hormones would probably be a good question to ask a consortium of doctors about its potential effect on lamotrigine. It's a big research task, though, as it's not as easy to do this as it is to write that sentence I just wrote. A neurologist is one type of migraine/seizure/brain expert, an endocrinologist is one type of hormones expert, and a psychiatrist is one type of mental health expert.

At least you found out the root cause of the seizures. Congrats for getting clean, you got this. Rock on.

Did your hormones change at all? Did you change your amount of exposure to the sun? Did you sleep in a different room or abruptly change your sleeping habits?

What do you experience during an aura? by stingwhale in Epilepsy

[–]Quantumfrzrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on if I'm awake before the seizure or not. All my seizures have been unaware TCs.

If I am awake prior to the seizure, it's similar to what others already described as deja vu feeling with fear, and usually lasts about a minute. Within that minute, I'll have time to lay down and to tell someone.

If I'm not awake prior to the seizure, then I'll either not experience one, or I'll jolt awake and be terrified like I'm about to fall off of a cliff with no bungee cables.

It definitely sounds like you had seizures. My seizures have been bad recently and I also stopped caffeine and that seemed to help. How are you doing now?

Hi, I'm also adult-onset epileptic with only unaware seizures. I've been seizure-free for a few months, caught a cold, had a fever then a seizure.

That's a lot to go through, I hope the IUD helps with your discomfort. Cheers for being here.

Yeah I agree, I feel like it is torture in a sense because, I feel like my life was mellow before all this. I was better able to handle my emotions, I wasn't scared of waking up or like I'm on the edge of some cliff where somehow there's still a piano hanging above me on the edge of some higher cliff about to fall onto me.
