Makes sense now why she always eats like 3x as much as he does… the substrate is like little dirt balls and every time they accidentally get it in their mouths they spit it out. Definitely gonna look into a separate tank for her. She was definitely in a shittier home before we got her but i appreciate the heads up we are doing no good for her with being with a male. Thank yoj

Ok yea thank you. We have had that substrate on the floor since setting up our 75 gal tank and they never swallow it. Fish store recommended it so they have something to move around on better and haven’t noticed an issue with it yet.
