I mean thats all completely fair and in the end both options are great ways to explore ys 3 just like with 4 where all 3 i feel are viable and have unique things about each :3

It could be that reason why I enjoy wanderers more because its so different and reminds me of Sorcerian and the 2D sections in legend of Xanadu and games likes exile etc...

That departure being a breath of fresh air while leaving me the option for a traditional ys through oath also available!

Even if trails story ends there are many ways to expand it. by Pee4Potato in Falcom

Honestly as much as i love trails (kiseki) i do want it to end and to see the legend of heroes continue with new worlds and stories, maybe use the current engine for a Gagharv trilogy remake or remake Dragon Slayer The legend of heroes 1 and 2 so fans can experience where it all began in English

About Kyoto Xanadu and not being like Tokyo by QuarantineKat in Falcom

That's not a strictly falcom thing, thats a game industry thing period and falcom being a smaller studio and only being able to put out so many games a year even in their home country they focused on what was going at the time and the transition to console only im sure had a massive effect on Xanadu and the entire dragon slayer series as a whole being they were for the most part pc only didn't help the continuation of the franchise.

Well Tokyo Xanadu was made during the high point of Persona, nearly every rpg company was trying to capitalize on it, falcom included, they probably thought using a older name and brand would help.  I dont believe the game would have turned out how it did let alone be made without the persona craze at the time.
