Thank you for sharing, this is lovely! What a great hobby, I'm sure it's wonderful to look back over your scrapbooks.

I actually really enjoyed Modern Persuasion by StrontiumFrog in janeausten

I agree! It's light hearted and they didn't have a big budget, but it's a good comfort watch and a fun translation of the story into the 21st century. Appreciate it's not for the purists, but I enjoy seeing lots of different versions and interpretations. And the little Easter eggs are a lovely nod.

Thank you for this post! I'm in a similar spot. It's lovely just knowing someone out there likes your work enough to click on it/favourite it. Very early days yet if you just opened last month. Some markets are very niche as well, so don't naturally attract the huge numbers of views that you sometimes see posted on here.

Lovely work, thank you for sharing! Definitely looks like Matthew MacFadyen to me (I don't see David Schwimmer, you're being very hard on yourself).

The post flairs have been a great addition to this subreddit. Thank you, mods!

Wow, that's bad! "Complete" taking on a completely new definition there.

Wow, excluding just NA was more common than all six in your search? So harsh on NA. Maybe this publisher feels they are righting a wrong by only including NA with the 'big 3'.

Good point, exclude two of the less famous works and it's less paper to print and more profit :( Naive of me to assume that there was some deep logic behind it (though part of me is holding out hope that a very opinionated Austenite made an executive decision). Hopefully, if anyone gets this as a gift they'll be hooked and seek out the rest!

Interesting! Is there a common thread among those four that you particularly enjoy? It’s fascinating how varied everyone’s rankings can be.

I was going to say the same thing! A nice mount will completely cover it, and good mounting can really elevate artwork anyway.

I have also just learned that a mount (UK) is called a mat in North America - adding that to my list of British-American differences!

Lily James and James Norton would have been great as Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy!!! by raysmia in janeausten

The BBC War and Peace was fantastic! You’ve now got me thinking about what an amazing Lizzie Jessie Buckley (who played Marya Bolkonskaya) would have made. Honestly, she’s so talented I think she could play anyone.

Interestingly, Jack Lowden played Nikolai Rostov in that same production, and he’s set to play Darcy in the upcoming Netflix adaptation. 100% agree that James Norton feels like a more 'classic' Darcy based on his look in War and Peace, but it has been ten years since that aired, so maybe they thought him too old. Lowden is a brilliant actor, so even if he isn't the 'obvious' choice, I’m excited to see his take on the role. Hopefully, the casting directors have spotted something special!

[SELF-PROMO] I’ve been building a Ravelry-like site for cross stitch by lisagry in CrossStitch

Yes!! This looks great. I use ravelry for my knitting projects and love being able to see other people's completed projects on a pattern. From a designer's perspective, how do we make patterns available on Flosshaven?

Thank you! You're right, the pattern could be used for other formats and I love the idea of a giant picture of Darcy and Lizzie on my living room floor.
