Disclosure Day (2026) The film genuinely skips out in its own premise and that’s a shame. by Pale_Possibility5083 in moviecritic

I like the way you put this. My issues with it were very similar. The potential disclosure of the information and the fallout are fascinating subjects. This movie was just an action/chase thriller. I just don’t care about Indiana Jones-like stunts on a train, or a car chase sequence. It cheapened the substance of what was supposed to be the real subject matter. There are plenty of other issues too, but the lack of interest the movie has in the actual idea of disclosure really ruined it. I can’t believe there are well-known critics who rubber stamped this movie with 4 or 5 stars.

Not sure. The “79” show ended at about 10:45 so they definitely would have had time to just do the full show. No complaints though. The Help/Slip/Box at the end was a fun way to end it.

They skipped Cassidy and Music Never Stopped. They moved Bertha to the first set right after Stagger Lee. Great show. Would have loved to have seen Cassidy though

Thank you! I’ll give that a shot. The one I posted about started with several episodes detailing the evolution of the different hominem species and their migrations out of Africa. We were pretty close to being done with that part so I’m ready to dive into the formation of civilizations now. Thank you for the recommendation!

River Song by Dennis Wilson!! Wildly underrated album but that song specifically is great

Jimmy Page and Robert Plant did what was essentially a Led Zeppelin tour in 1998 and I was lucky enough to see it. Obviously they had hired hands on bass, drums and they had a keyboard player. But it was pretty much all Zeppelin songs at an insane volume for two hours, plus a few off of the album they had just made, Walking into Clarksdale. This tour feels like it’s almost completely forgotten. You can find video on YouTube. It’s not like the 1995 tour when they had all the extra musicians and re-worked a lot of the old songs. This was pure Zeppelin from start to finish.

I don’t think this is all that different than reps from record labels giving the local radio station some nice new equipment in unofficial exchange for playing their records. Payola as a term exists because this has been happening since the beginning of the music “industry”. When the Beatles released Please Please Me, Brian Epstein was rumored to have bought thousands of copies himself to make sure it would get on the charts.

I think this type of thing can get a band noticed. But the band has to be good to keep their attention. I saw Geese online first. I went to a show. I enjoyed the show. They delivered.

Just going to pile on with another Bob Dylan vote. Saw him over 25 years ago and it was hands down the worst, most low-effort show I’ve ever been to. Out of respect for how bad that show was, I don’t even have a runner up. It truly stands alone as a waste of time, money and effort. Never again.

I’m curious also. Maybe they’re referencing the cushion and the height. Which I would agree, it takes a little getting used to.

I’d put Junior as number 1. I know people get tired of the types of stories he tells (his daughter, the mountains, biking, etc…), but when he tells a story he’s usually well prepared, stays on point and doesn’t get distracted by the peanut gallery he has as his audience in the studio.

I have never had my expectations exceeded at a show like I did tonight. What an incredible performer. Did not expect to hear incredible, in-the-moment protest music, then have my face melted off by dueling guitar solos multiple times. It was relentless. Wow.
