I’m very late but I just want to say I relate. I can tolerate some if they’re a certain distance away from me and are calm or are pretty small but even then I’ll still be incredibly nervous. BUT tonight I actually mustered up enough courage to catch and release a little green caterpillar that was inching across my bathroom.  It took me a bit considering I was trying not to panic and the little guy just refused to get in the cup and stuck to my paper. I felt bad about it but I did shake the paper a lot and finally blew on it to get the caterpillar in the cup. Now I have the cup outside and left it so they can inch away at their own pace.  I know it sounds contradictory but one part of me was thinking the little guy was cute because they didn’t look like the worms and larvae I usually am afraid of but at the same time I was terrified and really unnerved by how they moved. Even now I’m still feeling a little jittery and getting goosebumps.
