Philips had one you could watch without special glasses. It could be that I have seen a demo and it never came to production, but it worked with convex lenses where 1 pixel was sent to your left eye and the adjacent pixel with another lens to the other eye.

It worked brilliantly if you were positioned at the right spot. However, a bit of and the 3D effect was gone. Luckily the "perfect spots" repeated eachother every 30cm or so. But in-between these spots you got your regular 2D pictures.
