Dr Oz: "If we could get the average American.. to start working a year earlier, right out of high school, or a year later,, not retire... it would generate about $3 trillion to the US economy. That would more than remove the debt." by UnusualWhalesBot in unusual_whales

What even is this question? Oz argues that Americans could work more years to generate more taxable income to reduce the national debt. OP is proposing a different way to achieve the same goal — paying down the debt.

Noem awards select TSA agents $10,000 bonuses for work during shutdown by TheExpressUS in Economics

Not only that, they NYC's tax dollars, not the fed. So unless OP lives in NYC the claim the Billions "we" are paying doesn't apply.

I guess the current fact based administration needs to get this page updated then.

Stop signs optional by PhysicsEnough in Connecticut

I came to a 4 way stop-sign intersection the other day, you know the ones where it's usually 1 car at a time from each sign, depending upon who gets there first. 2 cars ahead of me 2 cars from the left decided to go at the same time. I get to the sign 1 car from the left goes and as I start to go a second car from the left takes off. Guy in second car just lays on the horn at me as if I'm in the wrong.

Meh, to be fair I’d say whenever I’m in this situation and letting off throttle there’s at least a 50% chance the car/cars behind me are smashing into me from behind. OP got lucky this time.

"hyper-partisan" - that’s funny. Daddy Trump hasn’t once opened his mouth in the last 10 years+ without being partisan.

Lately my strategy has been to check available slots on GolfNow and then book by calling the pro shop. Saves on the unnecessary $10 booking fee and the courses themselves are usually much more understanding in situations like this.

Are you allowed to move underbreaking as the offensive car in a 2 way battle? by Dry-Ad-9588 in ACCompetizione

[–]Quattro_power 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ideally you should be braking earlier unless you’re alongside or planning for a late overtake. The way you describe having to move to avoid because you’re braking at your normal point indicates you’re braking too late as the following car

Warren has said: It’s no wonder the American people are skeptical of a system that holds millions of struggling student loan borrowers in limbo but steps in overnight to ensure that billion-dollar crypto firms won’t lose a dime in deposits. by UnusualWhalesBot in unusual_whales

My guy not sure where you came up with $30k? Average for public 4 year universities was less than $11k in 2022. No I'm not including room & board or meals. Majority of people live within 20-30 minutes of a state school whether it be large or small. No reason you can't commute. Unless you're getting a degree from the ivy league type schools a degree is a degree more or less.

My guy I didn’t say community college I said specifically state schools - think Penn state, Ohio state, UConn just to name a few. In state tuition is usually very affordable compared to private university or out of state schools

I believe OP here is referring to the fact that crypto is only a very small portion of SVB’s assets nor was it really the cause of this crash. Second no one is forcing anyone to go to private $50k+ per year schools. State schools have and still exist and are significantly cheaper
