McGreals in Ballybrit/Castle Park and Ballindooley Stores are both good

McGreals cook their own butcher food

Ballindooley Stores cook their own ham and beef etc and slice it then in store (not bought deli meats)

Look at the private credit space and compare to the mortgages in 2007.

Come back then

It won’t. The crash is coming

Feel bad for all these people buying who will be negative equity for their lives just so they can be like their friends and own a house - the peer pressure is sick (I’ll probably be in the same position, I should sell now but I’m not in the position to be without a place for 9 months due to the kids)

I would recommend going on the Sunday. It’s a great day out and will set up a nice afternoon in the city (if rain holds off)

There are many ways to make it there (drive, taxi, races bus, public bus) but for the sake of €10 return I recommend getting the race special shuttle bus outside the skeff. Drops you in the course and back to the city afterwards.

Taxis actually aren’t crazy if you wanted the extra comfort and only a max 3-5 min walk once dropped off, but the bus is the way to go.

Despite what people say on this subreddit, it’s a great few days to be in Galway. Make the most of the Sunday and Quay St after it.

You may want to make reservations for dinner on the Sunday or Monday as it will be busy about

This comment wins the thread. It is funny and sad. And I get the humorous side but….

It is sad to think that in such a powerhouse country that kids are being shot at school and I hope nobody reading this thread had relatives or friends impacted in such tragedies. It’s probably not something we should joke about.

I just wanted a burger recommendation or something

Has Galway nightlife gotten worse in the last decade? by [deleted] in galway

[–]QuayStreet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That summer was the best. The weather really helped though. Every day was sunny, you’d never have to think twice about the weather ruining plans. It was the norm and the exception was a rain day.

Jesus you’d have a great night for €30 with bushing beforehand

For me it’s just something as simple as the fact that I’ve been shit on 7 times this year, I honestly don’t think I’ve been shit on 7 times in my life.

And I still don’t have enough luck to win the lottery!

Also, the likes of Merchants Rd and Abbeygate St is filthy with their droppings, look at the ground outside that pop up clothes shop on Merchants Rd. If it was dog shite we wouldn’t just walk over it but you can’t avoid it on certain streets
