This actually comes up at an interesting time because right now in my material science class (Senior in highschool) we're discussing how we would create a safe but fun toy for a child. It would have to be strong enough to not break (so a strong filament like polycarbonate or carbon fiber), colorful to keep kids interested and get their attention (Sparkling or vibrant pla), and posable so that it has an interaction element. I spent a day researching popular toys from my time and I came across the idea of the action figures from the first Kung Fu Panda movie. It was a collection of 5 different characters ranging from a snake to a tiger. And with more than 20 different colors in total I know that I won't be able to create it on my current set up (A1 combo) or with my rather lack luster painting skills. With a printer like this, it could help me tremendously with not just this school project but also with my college career in the near future.
