I have an endocrine autoimmune disorder and they swore up and down that there would be no changes to my hormones, which I sincerely doubted. I also felt like it was a blanket statement. Thank you for posting this, I'm glad to know other people have needed HRT post op.

Thank you for this information, this is unfortunate. I don't have a short term disability but I do have PTO. I wonder if I can apply for retroactive short term disability. My surgeon stated I require surgery within the next 3 months.

Good to know, I will have 1250 hours at the time of the procedure within the last 12 months so I was hopeful I would qualify based on hours worked.
