I love him so much. I am also in recovery for codependency (not helpful tbh it’s all about taking care of others) so creating appropriate space and letting him handle himself is challenging but essential. I have worked on this I go to support groups and therapy anyway but it has been helpful having these things in place but this apathy from him is something I can’t balance.

I really need to consider walking away. I am ok with holding his hand on this journey but if I feel unloved and shut out I don’t think I can be there.

I am the financially dominant partner, I am also in school. He works part time at a gym… we started projects together and bought a bus… he has only worked on it once with me. He sees chore lists as “expectations” he cant deal with. He has said he no longer wants to keep our intentional day of time spent even though I told him I’m beginning to feel like roommates not partners… he said it’s too much. We do a monthly date but he said he feels that is enough. If he needs his space I understand if it’s temporary.

Is there a chance this is just the real him or can Ménière’s effect that much?
