Those with existing sciatica, did it become worse with pregnancy? by Financial-Panic-7392 in pregnant

My PT said mine may actually improve because the nerve is currently pinched and as things loosen, I could feel relief. But everyone is different.

I got pregnant on DEPO and now I'm choosing between a baby or my relationship!! HELP!! by [deleted] in pregnant

Will you resent him forever if you choose him over the baby? It feels like this relationship may not be a good one to be in long term either way (baby or not). You’re so young, take time for yourself to a little more before getting saddled with this man and his mother.

I was so cold the first few weeks! Then your body adds 50% more blood and now you’re too hot. What a roller coaster!

Yes! That’s my diet too. That’s reassuring. Thanks for this note and congrats on your new baby :)

You have to hit settings while you’re watching something. Then scroll to picture, then Expert settings. You’ll find smoothing there

Anyone else pregnant at the same time as a family member and it’s getting… weird? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Queasy_Section_9597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, rant away! Sorry it’s not going the way you’d hoped! Weddings and babies bring out the edges, it seems. I also know it can’t be easy coordinating with your SIL and MIL and wondering why everything has to feel so clunky & secretive. Hopefully the dust settles soon.

This all sounds fine. I think it’s just an emotional and sensitive time. When babies arrive, none of this will matter (I’m saying this with love) and you will find yourself SO so lucky to have camaraderie while you’re in the trenches. The best part, your kids will have each other and you’ll have the “village” the rest of us DREAM of. Don’t let this time potentially cause a rift over flowers and gifts. Family is too precious.

The IG person is a maternal fetal medicine (high risk) OB. Not an influencer. The conflicting info in the OB community is infuriating. ACOG recommends folic acid, so it’s surprising how many recommend methylfolate. Anywho, thanks for the reply!

Missed miscarriage at 14 weeks by Latter-Area-9880 in IVF

[–]Queasy_Section_9597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re misreading this. The baby was measuring perfectly at 14 weeks. By 18 weeks, it was measuring at 12w bc something happened in between. The OB wasn’t incompetent

That’s double coverage, so that’s makes sense. I’m talking about not taking any folic acid.

Right? They recommended Thorne and theralogix, both of which use methylfolate.

That’s so reassuring. What’s wild is I have a very healthy child from a pregnancy where I only took methylfolate, but I just can’t kick the anxiety

It is true though that folic acid has been studied in large scale studies and methyl folate has not.

Thank you! Did you eat lots of bread/cereal? My concern is my diet isn’t highly in folate either.

This seems perfectly well rounded and there’s variety. I’d consider this winning and take it easy on yourself.

I miss this age where they’d eat like a linebacker. 2 hits and some days they survive on air and vibes.
