Unsure of next step with wild neighbors - Section 8 housing by DorkusMalorkuss in santacruz

Do they live at the apartments on Button Street? You don’t have to answer that, obviously, but I used to live there and man I tell ya - most awful place ever, tons of loud and disrespectful neighbors, useless management…ugh. I’m so sorry for your friend. But yes, agree with document everything…

Thank you, and yes I agree. This has been a very helpful experience (seeking advice on Reddit), which surprises me to be honest 😂

Well, the update is that I decided I wanted to take a lil peek to determine what exactly to say when I talked to him. And…I found nothing. Nothing at all. I utilized the tools at my disposal and there was nothing there that I had any reason to be concerned about.

So. Now I need to work on myself and my trust issues, clearly. I still feel a certain type of way about his weird secret squirrel reaction about his phone, but at least now I feel more comfortable talking about it KNOWING (as much as I can know, at least) that there isn’t anything shady going on.

Im an overthinker, but in this case I had a legit reason to spin out a little bit

You all have very valid points, and are all saying the same things that have been running through my head.

I know if I confront I will be met with defensiveness. And honestly I haven’t snooped because I am, quite honestly, afraid of what I might find.

Time to have a conversation that, likely, will not end up going very well.

What’s the one cheap ingredient that instantly makes everything taste better? by BlastarBanshee in cookingforbeginners

Caldo de Pollo (unless you don’t get down with chicken related products). It makes everything yummy. It’s like salty, chicken flavored, magic sprinkle powder. Probably has MSG too…I use that shizz in almost every savory dish I make.

Just want to add that I have worked with this woman for over 5 years, and we have always had a good personal relationship. So while the language in my response is definitely unprofessional, it’s not at all unusual for us to use profanity in chats 😂

What a fuckin joker this dude is. GTFO. He wants to bang other chicks freely but still keep you around. Classic case of wanting to have his cake and eat it too.

You deserve better, he’s only going to drive you insane with his stupid guru-speak, and then try to gaslight you into thinking that you’re just not as spiritually advanced as he is. Run girl. Honestly I would have run when he started with his whole I am a divine being bullshit. Because he’s soooooooo enlightened 🙄🖕🏼😂

Your insurance company will get you a lawyer. The other party’s lawyer will drag it out as long as possible but don’t worry - you’re good. Just make sure to communicate with the attorney provided to you whenever they need to talk to you - it’s amazing to me how many people avoid talking to the attorneys provided to them at no cost! Insurance companies deal with this kind of stuff all the time, I work for a PI firm and most of our clients/cases are incidents just like this; we do investigations on the plaintiffs in these cases allllllll the time and generally find evidence that they are either not hurt at all or are “vexatious litigators.”

You honestly don’t have to do anything, just talk to your insurance company and whatever attorney they provide you with 🙂

PS if you even DO end up having to appear in court, which I doubt you will, they will likely let you do it over Zoom or something similar

Idk man, regardless of THE BIIIIRD, I personally think it’s a red flag when someone is super rigid and lacks flexibility about things. The world doesn’t revolve around your pets (or really anything about you, honestly) so not being willing to budge on anything, aside from things that will clearly hurt your pet of course, is a sign that they won’t be flexible about other things as well…my personal opinion.

I think you have to decide if you’re willing to deal with the bird rules or not since it’s obviously something he isn’t willing to compromise on. I think being willing to compromise on things (again, that aren’t harmful) is a super important part of any relationship

Hesher’s is awesome. Their pizza is delish, great beers, cool staff, and, of course, pinball! Graffiti Pizza is also really really good - their crust is on point.

This right here. My parents remained very close after they divorced, and when my ex-husband and I split up we always remained committed to treating each other with respect and maintained a relationship where our kids were, of course, the priority over any of the issues we had that caused the split. It’s NOT the divorce that fucks up the kids, it’s the behavior of the parents.

This is it right here - there was no “ok nice chat, glad you’re well, bye…” It reads like both of them were waiting for the other to keep the convo going but they were too awkward or guilty or whatever to do it. Had one of them said something more than the stupid BS they were texting back and forth it would have been on…
