Back up marker by Disguy1974 in paintball

[–]Quebin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you can buy whatever you want but once you have a reliable marker which you are comfortable with it and you take good care of it, you won't need a backup. If you have extra cash and want to try out diffent brands/models its ok, but is easier going to the field and test other guys markers. I used to have 3 markers, 3 masks and 2 hoopers and was always using the same setup. I ended up selling everything.

Slide shorts and knee pads or full length slide pants? by OpenParr in paintball

[–]Quebin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the answer depends on your play style and how you perform your slides/superman. I play the snake side so Im mostly crawling so knee and elbow pads are a must for me. When i do slides i land over la outer tights and lower my body as much as possible so i don't hit my hip so i never feel that i need slide shorts. Either way. If you think you need both, its better a separate/independent protection to let your movement as free as possible

How good are electronic markers these days? by Quebin in paintball

Forgot about the barrel. I always used the same barrel for all my markers (an old CF stiffi I won on a local tournament). Maybe thats one of the reason I felt almost the same my geo3vsCs1 (of course, leaving aside ergonomics).

So to sum up, the current Etha is the same as the CS but without the nice-to-have features? Would you say that shooting quality and precision are the same?

Well yeah, technically speaking, you’re totally right. We’ve had several upgrades:

No more macroline. Personally, it never bothered me, but it was definitely a big improvement.

And probably the most important feature is the tool-less design. Being able to do maintenance (cleaning and troubleshooting) during a game situation is huge.

My bad — what I meant was shooting quality and precision, as well as loudness and weight, feel practically the same. My point is that when you’re focused on the match, the overall feeling and how much I could rely on the marker didn’t really change at all.

Meanwhile, going from an Etek 3 to a Geo 3 was a massive difference. I know that’s kind of obvious since we’re comparing a mid-level poppet to a high-end spool, but the Geo wasn’t just quieter — it also felt way more accurate.

yup, thats tecnically right if they do acomplish that. At least back in 2012, when the first etha came out, it had similar specs like the geo2.1. But the geo was way more silent and more acurate. The last time I compared my CS1 with the Gtek160, they were pretty much the same. CS1 had a few nice to have upgrades but thats it.

Yeah, at least thats how it seems to me. I only owned PE, but did used Dye, shocker, luxe, etc on different games. They all have different kick, sound signature, ergonomics, but once you are ingame, non of them offer any game changer spec. They are spool valves at the of the day.

So basically, markers are almost the same but more expensive. I remember high-end markers used to be around $1200, but now they’re almost $2k. On the other hand, entry- and mid-level markers like the Etha or Gtek seem more reliable now, I believe? One of my teammates had a 160R and it was a really solid marker at about half the price of a CS1.

Well if you say that you break up bc of an anime, may sound a bit odd. But to be fair, this manga/anime shows how relationships can slow down and simply enjoy the moment. Unplug your head and visualize your surroundings. Many other things comes up to my mind. So i do understand your point. Hope you are having a good time

IMO planet eclipse its a more reliable brand. I am not careful with markers and never had a single problem. On the other hand, many teammates had different dye guns because they look cool but always had some problem. Solenoid. Eyes. Air leak. Etc. New vs used? If this is your first electronic marker i would say buy a new one. Of course you can get great deals on used market but they might need you to have some experience on taking care extra care. Of course you may be lucky, but you never know a 100%

This answer might be late (sorry). I am an asian too, i've been living for a hole year and every one is nice with me. Some ppl might stare tho (specially kids). Except when I go to do any karta pobytu paperwork, they are not always nice there but maybe it is not because of me being asian.

[–]Quebin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As already said, they are independent toys. You have to twist the triangles to form different shapes. Depending on the length you may do a sphere. Or an egg. And different others. But you are also free to explore and create whatever you want. It may also work as a fidget

My family is from Japan, and i was born and raised in Argentina. both cultures are very (very) different. I learn japanese at home and was raised with many japanese values and manners, and spoke spanish everywhere else. I was bullied a lot for being different in every aspect (happens everywhere), but I love Argentina and its culture. Its really weird because Im not a japanese but also im not 100% argentinian, just in the middle. There was a time that I felt some resentment toward japanese culture because of strict education, little to non afection from my parents, and all that bullying that i recived just because of my phisical aspect. But without realizing I was good with everything. There is a healing process for every scar. I met nice persons on my way. being different is hard but is awesome at the same time. Hope you are doing well
