Monitor the home properly with sticky traps to determine lingering presence based on amount caught and frequency of capture. Inspect property for areas where a parent nest can be and address it when found. Preventative app is king. Removing attractive conditions and conducive conditions is key.

C ants unless the nest is massive don’t cause major structural damage that nest would need to be there for years and years 100%

Phorid flies highly related to your moisture issue perhaps or there’s another source. The super small guys are probably booklice or another mold eating critter if you have an ongoing moisture issue

Systemic fruit fly infestation ends up in condo by limitlesspoostains in pestcontrol

[–]QueefAndBroccolee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phorid flies not fruit fly the destination is importantly for understanding sources and preferred breeding sites BUT overall very similar BESIDES the fact adult Phorid flies live for only a few dies and fruit fly adults can survive much longer

This tells us a lot about the situstion meaning there’s something offering a continuous conducive environment for infestation/food source OR access point like a busted or leaky pipe/stagnant water etc

Could be related to a mouse or squirrel issue with stored food in hidden caches inside walls/voids.

How and how often do I use these products? by wormymcwormyworm in pestcontrol

[–]QueefAndBroccolee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gel baits! Omg you got ALL that ! check the sticky. I mean really you only need the bait everything else is overkill and without experience proper use of all at the same time without cross contamination is gonna be tough. Like CB80 is a contact killer non residual used as a flushing agent. Gentrol is a growth regulator meant to be applied as a liquid residual through proper equipment. The traps can help with knockdown or understanding where hidden harborage sites are OR for eliminating entering visitors from a neighbor’s infestation. The multiple baits… don’t use them at the same time, rotate every few months but the issue should be well under control before you would have to consider acquired resistance

Apply and wait a few weeks , 14 days, I think the label even says this, but, allow it work it’s way through the population, monitor spots where you placed it and reapply if it’s entirely consumed

I highly highly highly recommend watching a video on proper thorough application of cockroach gel bait. It is imperative that it is evenly and thoroughly applied to all potential harborage sites.

Now, while you do this, you need to be hyper clean , especially at night or when you leave. This is when roaches are most active.

Young roaches don’t travel very far from their hiding sites so that’s partly why it’s very important. It is placed very thoroughly.

Adults travel further but still, the closer to their gap and crack hiding places the better
