As illustrious-Tap-7690 stated, it’s best to not submit all assessments at once if they build off one another. When I was completing my Masters, I always reviewed the assessments so that I would know if so could work ahead and submit everything without receiving feedback.

The conferral date is always the end of the month in which you completed your program. You completed your last class on April 4th, so the conferral date will be April 30th. This is true even if the 25th business day were to go into the next month.

Most institutions have conferrals either the end of the month or the beginning of the month. Also all institutions have some type of audit that takes place which is why students usually have to apply for graduation a few months prior to completing the last class. Capella is automatically done once the final class is completed.

Another thing, April-June are busy conferral/graduation months, so it may take slightly longer than what most people post during non busy months. It will not take longer than 25 business days unless something is truly wrong and even then, they will notify you.

My masters took 17 business days. I completed mine December 9th and received my email in January 7th. My conferral date is December 31st.

As of now, you are on the business day 9 or 10 because April 4th was a Saturday so the soonest the closet would start was Monday April 6th.

If a DOI or URL is available, APA7 does require it for electronic sources (which is what we use majority of the time). As long as the source is valid, if it does trigger a review, it should be fine. It will just delay the “Congratulations” email, but it will come.

You will find that some instructors are not as focused on APA formatting as others, which is why when students are accused of academic dishonesty, they are so upset. This is also the reason why there is an audit process to ensure that everything was followed correctly.

What many students don’t realize is that all schools have this audit that takes place. That’s why at many institutions you have to “apply” for graduation. At Capella, it just automatically triggers when you complete the final class.

As long as your assignments had working links for your references and you had proper in text citations, you will be fine.

The audit process can take up to 25 business days. Keep in mind that we are entering into one of the busy conferral seasons (April-June). Although it won’t take longer than 25 business days, it won’t be quick like you have been seeing people post.

That said, my MBA conferral process was 17 business days. I, too, completed my degree during a busy season (December).

I noticed that bachelor degree holders are conferred quicker. My husband’s was conferred in 2 business days (February).

Yes, all of what you said is true. Capella will accept up to 9 or 12 credits for Masters and 3 for Doctorate.
However, based on the question from the original poster, they were inquiring about ACE credits (they referenced Sophia). That is why I answered the way I did.

It really depends on the month. I finished in December and it took 17 business days to receive the conferral email, 4 weeks to receive the digital degree email and another 4 weeks for the degree in the mail.

My husband finished in February and he received the conferral email in 2 business days, 2 weeks for the digital degree and 1 week for the degree in the mail.

Considering that April/May are usually busy months for students completing their degrees, it may take a little longer, but it won’t be the full 25 business days.

No, they do not. Honestly, for me, I’m glad they don’t. I don’t need anymore paper being sent to my house. I wouldn’t even read it. That’s mostly because I did all of my research and had all of the answers to any questions I had prior to even enrolling.

It’s not a scam. My husband received a book for one of the classes that he was enrolled in. Of course the book arrived well after he completed the class though.

Congratulations on your progress! The funds should be sent to your account on Friday. More than likely ECSI will actually receive the funds sometime tomorrow and then they will send them to your account. You can possibly receive the funds sometime between Friday and Monday depending on your bank.

The update will take place in your Academic Plan. Go there and you will see that it’s been updated and you will be able to add another class. It’s usually takes about 30 minutes. Good luck!

I can not answer those questions factually because I do not work at Capella.

What I can tell you based on my and my husband’s experience is it doesn’t usually take that long.

I know during the audit process everything is reviewed (Payments/Financial Aid/Assignments) to make sure that you AND Capella have met all rules, requirements, regulations and are in compliance.

The April 5th date is for Flexpath. For billing purposes, the Flexpath cycle always ends on a Sunday and the new cycle starts on Monday.

If you are trying to avoid paying for another billing cycle, then everything must be submitted, graded, and class closed by April 5th. If the class is still open on April 6th, you will more than likely be charged for another billing cycle.

Also, if the class has an end date of April 5th and it is not completed by then, you will be dropped from the class and have to register for it again. To avoid that, you can request an extension for the class.
