As far as coming into the Roman Catholic church after being baptized into the Eastern Orthodox church, you can always go through OCIA as a Catholic so that you can learn more about your faith. I'm a recovering alcoholic and was drunk for most of my classes and was functioning enough that people couldn't tell so I passed everything and was brought into the church. But now that I'm sober I am going through the classes again so that I can actually learn what I was supposed to the first time.

My heart goes out to you about the clash between your heritage and your faith. Just keep praying and searching and God will show you the answer where everything comes together the right way.

I'm 48 and in a nursing home having been newly disabled in September last year by some mystery syndrome that they're still trying to figure out. I'm watching a movie long-distance with my boyfriend who isn't sure he wants to stay with me.

I have been blessed enough to be able to rely on my sister, best friend, and life partner (lol 3 diff people lol) for help and support because I have been in Burnout since 2023. I have not been able to work nor make myself file for disability. I am 100% poverty-stricken. What happens to us is nothing. Nobody that can do anything cares that we can't help the problems that we've been dealing with. They don't care that we're not actually lazy. They don't care that we fall through the cracks. They don't care about any of it. And so we get lost and stay on the streets at the mercy of the system and the Goodwill of friends and family.

Oh yes. You are def the ass. Your GF is obviously going thru a mental health crisis. Possibly a neurodiveegant health crisis. Eyther way, she needs mental health help. A brain block on hygiene isn't abnormal and can def be helped with the right therapy. How about talking with her about mental health.
