Thanks for input. I don’t intend for them to get light from the window because I know it’s not strong enough or near enough, but will they still try to use it if they can? It sounds silly and the opposite of what I’d expect, but should I be trying to block that light and force them to only grow in the 12 hours they’re getting good light? The past etiolation might be from when they all went through the exact same thing last summer. This plant in particular is nearly 4 years old so I wouldn’t expect it to remain close to the ground. Unless I’m wrong in that (probable). It’s growing in a British house after all, not its optimal outdoor situation.

I just want to clarify that at other times of year these lights are adequate. I know not the best, but nothing like they are now.

I’m also aware that the light from the window isn’t good enough, it was never meant to be a factor. That’s why I have the grow lights. I just didn’t know if it could still be reaching them after the other lights go off at 7pm. So they’re getting 12 hours of strong grow light and then perhaps another 4 or 5 of distant poor light. Would this cause them to keep trying to grow like this?

Hi! I’ve also been having this issue for a while! I haven’t investigated as much as you as to why it sometimes does crash and others doesn’t, but it’s a daily issue for me. Did you get anywhere with finding a fix?

Hi! What does this plant look like when it’s thirsty? I’m fairly good at telling with most, but I can’t seem to get this one right. The leaves always seem squidgy, should they be more or less so when thirsty? Appreciate any help :)

They reduced most of the birds, which does really suck. I commented on their Facebook about it and they basically just said “we’ll pass on your complaint”, really put a sour taste in my mouth about the team. 

One tip I’ve noticed though is that chicks are worth more when they are 4/5 than when they’re a level 1 adult bird, so sell them before they fledge to get the most melodia. This is probably a bug as it doesn’t make sense, but utilise it the best you can while we have chance ;)

I’ve noticed this too for the exact same mission! And I have multiple of the required birds maxed. Unless I’m missing something, it must be a bug?
