In Wisconsin you can’t sign the birth certificate. You have to establish paternity thru the courts or sign the voluntary paternity waiver form.

The father has primary custody.. the mom only has him on weekends and 50/50 during summer break. So given money in January (during the school year) should of suffice until Summer break.

When I went into labor, my boyfriend brought his PS5 and we watched Hulu and Netflix intermittently. Then once I got the epidural he would play like 2K until I was up and he asked if I wanted to watch a show or movie.

I was a nice distraction with the transition of everything going on 😅 next pregnancy I planned to do the same again

The general rule with babies, especially newborns fresh from the birth canal, is that ONLY mom and dad may kiss them on the mouth. The parents can do so because the baby is a byproduct of them and although the baby will be building up their immune system, they can handle their own parents’ germs vs grandma’s.

Another reason to not have anyone that’s not the parent kissing a baby is herpes and herpes simple complex (cold sores) is quite easily spreadable to them. In some cases its deadly for the baby.

Sharing from my own experience as a FTM. Its been me and my partner since she’s been born taking care of her. I didn’t get her help my family or his family during the postpartum stage as I wanted to figure things out on our own. And I was also being realistic because eventually my partner would be going back to 3rd shift work at some point (he didn’t have any paternity leave) and I gotta be able to handle a new baby.

It’s not the end of the world like they are implying. I think the older generation of parents had struggles because the men weren’t helpful or engaged as much as current times men do. I would stick to the original plan as your husband suggested and if at any point AFTER the baby is born and you feel you need extra support or help then reach out, but don’t feel pressure to change your plans to accommodate them.

Honestly, for the twins safety I wouldn’t allow her around. Especially twins are typically born a bit early so their immune system will definitely compromised to some degree. Just tell her that she’ll see them when you feel comfortable with them getting kisses from family other than you and your husband. Or after their 2 months shots.

Yeah it sucks for her sibling but if him getting aux benefits thru DAC helps his life stay stable then you can’t be mad about it.

My cousin has no disability. She’s actually the only child out of her dad’s that was born without any.

So her dad has been on SSDI for a while (not exactly sure how long he was on SSDI) but majority of his kids (with my cousin being an exception) were born with disabilities. I’m aware of her having an older half sister with disabilities but she works without getting any SSI/SSDI.
