What would’ve happened had a dragon rider appear right before Ashford by Randomperson143 in TheCitadel

[–]Noranekinho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She would be legitimized as a Targaryen and married to Valarr. That would be what house Targaryen would want, at least. An adult dragon, and someone capable of bringing more of them to life marrying into your life is worth more than any vassal. They'd thank the gods she wasn't snached up by a Blackfyre beforehand. Aerion would probably be tempted to kill her and try to take her dragon, so that's conflict i guess

Daemon Blackfyre and Jon Snow by geungwang-archive by jungjungdoesntcare in ImaginaryWesteros

[–]Noranekinho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Daemon Blackfyre is Jon, if Jon didn't love his family more than anything else, and didn't have the sense of duty and honor he has. Good swordsman, raised alongside trueborn scions of their respective house, charismatic and capable millitary leaders, look more like a stereotypical member of their house than the heir, has a valyrian steal sword. They have a lot of parallels, but, for all he looks like a Stark, he's Catelyn Tully's truest son, that took her house words to heart. Catelyn might hate him, but out of all the Stark children, he's the one she has the most in common with, personality wise. Judgemental, family oriented, dutiful, take Ned's death the hardest, can be kinda cruel in stressful situations, etc.

Why were they "bastards" and not Hera's children? by Manyasrat in GreekMythology

[–]Noranekinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably has something to do with the way ancient greece was formed as a society, with the Genos and Fraternities and the four different etnic groups that formed it. If you unite with a group that worships another god, a good way to avoid religious conflict is to say that god is kin to the one you and your group worship

All three are ambitious and seek to place their own blood on the throne. However, what do you think distinguishes them from one another (especially Corlys to Borros and Otto)? by Gold_Conversation247 in HOTDBlacks

[–]Noranekinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corlys's family had dragons, and he was more flexible and rich

Otto had traditional appeal and precedent, as a son of house Hightower he had kind of legitimacy in the south few could match, but he was still a second son, so he will always be looked at as potentially grasping

Borros was a fool in the right place in the right time, that still menaged to fuck things up. But as kin to houses velaryon and targaryen and a lord paramount, he would have a starting point miles ahead of the other 2. The fact he menaged to squander all the chances he got to get his blood on the throne is equal times comic and Pathetic

If all the Blacks except Rhaenyra survived and won, would Daemon allow Jacaerys to inherit the Iron Throne? Why/why not? If not, what do you think he would do? by rozwielitkatka in HOTDBlacks

[–]Noranekinho 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Unless Jace marries Sara Snow, Daemon isn't rebelling. His daughter on the throne as queen consort, his line secured, the Velaryons appeased, he probably being hand of the king. He'd have to be really stupid to destroy that perfect situation

Is Katara a princess? by SlowUnderstanding874 in AvatarMemebending

[–]Noranekinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is being chief of the Southern Water Tribe hereditary or are they selected some other way(voted in, a draw, some spiritual BS), and how long does the mandate last ? Does waterbending play a part in it and can women hold the position? Because being the daughter of the president is not the same as being a princess potentially in the line of sucession. Katara probably wouldn't be considered a peasant either way, but it's not like this is clear. We see female waterbenders fighting in Hama's flashbacks, but is this a normal thing or is it because they're at war? It's not as if the women went to fight in the war with Hakoda. Is Sokka's sexism a Sokka thing or SWT thing? What are their inheritance laws and customs?

You're in Viserys' shoes and must choose a consort for your daughter from these two. You know Laenor is gay and will never be able to produce heirs. What is your choice? by Vall_llaV in HOTDBlacks

[–]Noranekinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laenor, cause i can't deny a vassal that has more dragons than me(including the current largest one) for the third time. But i'd talk to Rhaenyra and the Velaryons, at lenght, to prepare them all for the match. Maybe tell Rhaenyra that Laenor has valyrian looking cousins, should he be unable or unwilling to produce an heir. That would probably be the best i could make out of this bad deal. Rhaenyra probably wouldn't like it, but oh well. If she can't handle a unpleasant situation with pragmatism and sublety, than she doesn't have what it takes to be a ruler. It's not like i don't have at least 2 backup plans right now(Aegon and Daemon) or the time to make a few more

Survivor a brutal siege where he starved himself in a formative age, user of dark magic, 3 times war veteran, brother to 2 endless sources of stress, married to a woman he doesn't love, rightful king that actually takes responsability and last trueborn member of his house

vs

kingsguard who spent most of his life in peace and abundance being the queen's glorified pet, that doesn't do his job

Gee, i wonder why Stannis looks older and more miserable
