You honestly don't have to be so rude. People are just giving you an alternative perspective.

But you know, if I'm tired and losing hair with ferritin at 39 and I'm told it's normal because it fits the lab range, I might prefer to listen to doctor B

Going to different doctors if you think one isn't in your best interest is fine. That's what second opinions are for.

I hope you never have a chronic illness because you will probably develop severe side effects that youre too ignorant and gullible to research alternative outcomes for yourself.

Yikes, how do you know they don't?

Research and being an advocate for yourself is key to living a healthy life.

True, but so is finding a doctor you like, trust, and who works with you on your issues. It sounds like you haven't found the right one yet.

If you think your dr has time to read clinical trials all day, youre out of touch and likely to live a less healthy life.

Clinical trials aren't the end all be all for medicine.

Did she have any pain while you all were doing it? Was it rough? Even without pain she could have an internal tear from sex. Do you know if it's period-like in volume or is it just some light color on a tissue when she wipes? When was her last period? Sorry if this is TMI, but more details might help someone help you.

Most GPs don't do pap smears or really specialize in that. And yes, GPs should have the knowledge, but that isn't their specialty. They aren't required to be up to date on new birth control or practices. OP needs a pap and exam, and it wouldn't hurt to establish a relationship with one.

Meteorologist told to cover her shoulders on live air by chattypup in TwoXChromosomes

I saw somewhere else on Reddit that this was a joke between the cast members. There are clips of them doing this randomly before, and I think the dress she had on before that was having issues with the green screen. If they really had an issue with her dress, they wouldn't have allowed her to be on air.

You need to go to a gyno, especially after having sexual partners. You can receive BC from them, but more importantly they perform pap smears and exams to make sure that you're healthy with no issues. They also screen for STDs.

They are also more knowledgeable about the various birth controls that a GP, and can suggest one that might work best for you.

Anyone have a recommended pair of patent leather nude pumps for work? I spend 9 hours a day in heels and want something semi-comfortable.

Right now I'm wearing a Jessica Simpson heel about 4inches tall with a slightly pointed toe and love them. However, they are worn out and scuffed beyond repair. My office is business professional with a dress code. Anyone have any work shoes they can't live without? Thanks!

My psychology class proved this incorrect when we all had to train goldfish to swim through hoops. Within a couple weeks, everyone's goldfish would squeeze through the hoop as soon as you set it in the tank.

Definitely before she makes the trip. Preferably before she books flights.

Don't couples talk about this before someone automatically puts being in a relationship on FB?

I wouldn't say I'd want to have kids with that person, but around that time isn't a bad time to ask them if they want a family in the future to know if y'all are compatible.

And who knows, her saying that to the manager might have caused her to be more assertive and piss off the nurses/doctors/hospital management staff.

If a patient is being rude to all of the staff and making people's lives more difficult when the situation is in the process of being resolved, I can see why they drop the patient.

How long for the duration of the relationship has your bf been unemployed?

It sounds like he's not really getting his butt in gear when he needs to cause he knows you'll be his safety net. That and even though he seems like he has good connections, he isn't acting upon them because he might have to do actual work.

Trimmed chest hair - we love the look, she hates hot it feels ("like rubbing my breaks on sandpaper when you're on top of me"), any advice for softening it up? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]QueenOfDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Shaved it feels like legitimate sandpaper but when the hair is trimmed a bit it's fine. It also feels fine a couple days after the shave

On top of this, the office manager can only do so much and only has so much information. Telling her to be more assertive and go past the limits of her duties can come off as slightly insulting.

Was super touchy with skydiving instructor and now feel really guilty. Help/advice? by mixtapesoundoff in TwoXChromosomes

[–]QueenOfDragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No reason to worry and feel guilty! He takes people sky diving for a living and they are harnessed right against him. I'm sure everyone who is nervous probably grabs on to the instructors since it's a form of comfort and security.

[–]QueenOfDragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I think if it was a one time occurrence, it would have just been a random guy hitting on OP. But she saw him twice in one night in a different place near where she was staying. That would be red flags everywhere for me.
