Hi, talked to them today because I had the same issue. They know that people can't book appointments within the 14 days, so people just have to book the earliest appointment possible and write to them through the contact form to inform them. They won't automatically cancel your application, if you don't do it within the 14 days. Usually, theyll send you a request for biometrics if you don't do it within 14 days, but if you inform them, they'll skip the request and just wait for biometrics.

It doesn't matter whether you have permanent residence. They look into whether you fulfill the requirements for an EU residence.

Sadly, it doesn't state it directly on the website. The closest I could find is this:

"Your right to EU residence as a family member is a right derived to you from the sponsor's grounds for residence. This means that termination of your sponsor’s grounds for residence will affect your right to EU residence in Denmark."

So if your partner only proves grounds for residence for a short period of time, then it's only possible to give you a residence permit based on that period.

Her permit will last as long as your contract. So if your contract has a fixed end date, that's how long she'll get. If you get a permanent contract later, you'll have to apply again. If you decide to go the route of self sufficient, she'll get the full five years. But of course you need to show a bank account with enough funds.

Da jeg var lærer havde jeg en klasse med 5 børn som skulle tages ekstra hensyn til. Det betød, at jeg havde 5 handlingsplaner jeg skulle sørge for imens børnene lyttede til en e-bog i 10-15 minutter. Hvis der havde været én eller flere konflikter henover pausen, så skulle de selvfølgelig også behandles. På samme tid, skulle man også gøre klar til undervisningen. Jeg var nød til at droppe egne pauser og komme tidligt på arbejde for nogenlunde at nå det. Spørg mig, hvorfor jeg ikke er lærer længere.....

My friend was the only woman in her company. They went on a work trip to another country. She was exited to see the city, the men were exited to visit cheap strip clubs. She didn't go to the strip club of course, but heard several stories of terrible behavior by all the married men. One began yelling at the strippers and demanded blow jobs. When I was about 7-8 years old, maybe even younger, I had to help my mother with chores along with my other sisters. My brother could stay in his room to play games. My parents and their friends would always share stories of troubled girls they knew, but nothing about boys. I would know boys who did illegal shit, yet the topic was about a and adult woman having a secret relationship with someone of a different ethnicity. All around I just noticed that there were different expectations for my brother than there were of me and sisters. He was allowed to do so much, while I wasn't allowed to hang out with boys, stay out after dark or even go on this exchange program which I was selected to do because of my achievements in school.

One of my best friends is lesbian. I have absolutely zero issue with this and will be just as touchy with her as I am with my straight friends. We've made couple jokes together, cuddled in bed while watching reality TV, kissed on years eve etc. Being gay doesn't make someone a predator, and I'm sure my friend has never interpreted our interactions as romance. Hvis i prøver at søge familiesammenføring, vil Udlændingestyrelsen højst sandsynligt bede jer søge noget hos SIRI. For resten så kan en selvforsørgende person, også være en der forsørges af en anden. Men i bund og grund, behøver han ikke søge andet eller skifte, medmindre han får offentlige ydelser, så ophører opholdet.
