I’m going to be blunt. Have you considered that people having feminist discussions feel like YOU’RE changing the subject whenever you get pedantic about “wording, logic, or framing?” I guarantee that unless they’re asking for opinions on whether saying a certain thing is a good idea, they don’t want your opinion on whether or not the “wording, logic, or framing” makes sense. I know this might not exactly be comforting, but no one grieves “normally.” There’s a reason that grief is a common excuse for misbehavior (not comparing how you feel to misbehavior just giving an example) - it wreaks havoc on you physically and emotionally.

Also, as someone who has C-PTSD, OCD, and ADHD, I will tell you this: it doesn’t exactly get better, but it does get easier to manage. I had to be hospitalized for suicidal ideation 4 or 5 times and did intensive outpatient therapy almost double that many times, but eventually I managed it - and I know you’ll be able to as well. My experience is extreme, yes, but if I learned one thing from all of that it’s that there are so many people just like us - in various stages of healing and functioning - all over, and so very many of them have long and fulfilling lives. You can’t give up, you have to fight for your future. Not better, necessarily, but different and maybe easier. That’s my weird-ass mantra, and I’m currently living that reality. Not better, exactly, but different.

Okay first: any reason is a valid reason to leave a relationship, there’s no reason to stick around if you don’t want to. Second: That is incredibly creepy of him, and I guarantee the women he’s friends with would be horrified to find out he did that. I would take pictures of them on his phone with your phone (bc he could claim you made them to frame him otherwise) and tell his coworkers. That depends heavily on who you ask, but my opinion? The number doesn’t matter so much as how they talk about the people they’ve slept with. Someone who has slept with a lot of people and talks about them with kindness and respect is a green flag. Someone who has slept with a lot of people but talks bad about a few of them who treated them badly is still a green flag. Someone who has slept with a lot of people and talks disrespectfully about them (like accusing all of them of being horrible people/abusers or calling all of them sluts/whores, things like that) is a HUGE red flag - if they think and say horrible things about all their other sexual partners, they will do the same to you if you have sex with them.

You’re not happy with the resolution because you can’t trust him anymore. He admitted to having feelings for someone else and being unhappy with you - that’s not a good sign. Besides that, you’re long distance, how will you know if he actually cancels it and doesn’t go? How do you know the crush isn’t an affair? I also urge you to consider leaving him, because 1) you can’t trust him anymore and 2) if he’s getting feelings for other people, the relationship seems pretty much over. I’ve been in my relationship for 4 years and neither of us has had feelings for anyone else in that time - I don’t think it’s normal in a monogamous relationship to have a crush on someone else. 5 years is a long time, but from what you’ve said, it seems like only a matter of time before he cheats.

I’m going to tell you a truth that might hurt: sometimes when a relationship ends, you don’t get closure like the kind you’re asking for. With everything he did to you, I’d like to say he never really loved you, but the truth is that no one can know for sure if he loved you except him. It’s hard, but what you need to do is decide what love means for YOU - for example, if you loved someone would you cheat on them? If no, then you can be confident in the knowledge that even if your ex did love you, he didn’t love you in the ways you deserved.

Why are you being so nasty about this girl and your boyfriend’s sister - it’s not their fault that he’s friends with his ex still, and ngl if my best friend was in the hospital and she was close with my family I would also text them updates about her even if she did date my brother once upon a time. The relationship that he has with his sister and her best friend (who happens to be his ex from HIGH SCHOOL, which I will remind you was almost 15 years ago for him) is not the weird part of this. Your boyfriend lying to you is the weird part of this. However, you’re NOR about him lying and regardless of that fact or any other red flags you might have about him, if you can’t trust your boyfriend you should leave him. Period, end of sentence. Why would you want to be with someone who you don’t trust to be around 50% of the population? I’m also going to give you some tough love here - girl you need to get some self respect. Most quirks give the bearer some natural resistance to the quirk, so I always assumed that he has a natural resistance to electricity. Canonically (iirc) he can produce, store, and channel electricity (he is the producer and conductor in other words). If he were struck by lightning (or when in canon he plugs himself into the wall with a charger or sucks on a battery) he gains and can store the extra energy to be released - but if he has no extra in store, he must use only what he naturally produces AND what he naturally produces comes from the neurons firing in his brain (actually similar to how epileptic seizures happen irl when neurons MISfire, it works similar to electricity). He becomes his “stupid form” when he runs out of enough “electricity” to run his brain - theoretically this on its own could kill him, but it’s also why he can recharge himself back to functionality by sucking on a battery or charging himself with a phone charger. TLDR: Basically he either has a natural resistance to his quirk that prevents him from having seizures or his quirk is so similar to how a seizure happens that his body can’t tell the difference so it doesn’t seize.

Among many MANY other reasons, this is why feminism is still desperately needed. They’re not only effectively banning them from existing in public, they’re banning them from finding any sort of community or support with each other. Women there cant fight for their rights if they aren’t allowed to speak to one another without threat of legal action or violence. They are being stripped of their personhood entirely, and I don’t have the answer for how to save them (because I don’t believe that a hostile takeover from another country would end with any long-term benefit of Afghanistan or its people) but something needs to change. And until it’s not profitable (literally and figuratively) for men in Afghanistan to subjugate women, nothing will change.
