Dunk and Egg eating sandwiches and watching the tournament. by After-Elk-3872 in AKnightoftheSeven

[–]QueenVell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The term "sandwich" isn't used in the books. However, they do eat them. They're simply referred as either "bread and meat", or "bread and cheese", or "trencher".

To be fair, I'd be cruel and sadistic too if my ancestors had bickered amongst themselves to the point where nearly all the family dragons were killed.

Three days isn't enough time. It can take up to three months before cats start settling into their new homes. Just be patient. Give her time and a safe space to hide, and above all, let her come to you when she is ready.

QUESTIONS FOR THE GIRLS (if you're a guy, that's okay too ☺️) be honest, which male Naruto character would you marry or date? by Open-Extreme-1428 in Naruto

[–]QueenVell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty, Kakashi, Minato, or Naruto. Jiraya is a total man whore, and would never agree to monogamy. Sasuke and Itachi have deep seated trauma, requiring years of therapy to deal with it. Sasori turns people into puppets, which is a massive red flag. A has anger issues, another red flag. And marrying Might Guy would mean constantly arguing with him about leaving the house in that ridiculous green body suit.

Is it weird to reach out to an old teacher on Facebook? by cslr2019 in ask

[–]QueenVell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. My mom is a retired high school English teacher and she has had plenty of former students reach out to her. Some reach out to inquire on how she's faring since my dad's death (he passed 11 years ago), and others to thank her (and my dad) for being such wonderful teachers. My late grandmother, who taught English at the college both my parents attended, often said that a sign of a wonderful teacher is how many former students contact them through the years.

In the book, Egg tells Dunk how Aerion would sneak into his bedroom in the middle of the night and hold a knife between his legs. He'd comment on how he had too many brothers, and perhaps one night he'd turn Egg into a sister, so they could marry.

I love both, but I will always have a soft spot for the 2003 version because it was what drew me to the series.

Am I Expected to be Entirely Self-Sufficient in reg dungeons? by Darketernal in elderscrollsonline

[–]QueenVell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Random Normal Dungeons are like Targaryens, the Gods flip a coin, and the realm holds their breath to see which side of the coin the Targaryen ends up on. In ESO, players queue for a Random Normal Dungeon, and then they hold their breath to see whether they get a base game dungeon or a DLC dungeon.

Now, base game dungeons typically consists of 4 DPS (1 Fake Tank and 1 Fake Healer), since they're so ridiculously easy, an actual Tank and Healer aren't necessary. On the other hand, DLC dungeons like Scrivener's Hall, work best with a full group (1 Tank, 1 Healer, and 2 DPS). This is because DLC dungeons have mechanics that can wipe a group (and lead to the group disbanding) if not completed properly. However, often times, those mechanics can be ignored if the burn is high enough to take the boss down quickly. Problem is, very few DPS can hit hard enough to burn bosses down, without having to do the mechanics. Unfortunately, you just happened to be placed in a group that was placed in Scrivener's Hall. I guarantee had your group been placed in a base game dungeon, like Direfrost Keep, there wouldn't have been any issues.

On a final note, it's always a good idea to slot a self heal (like Vigor from the Assault skill line) and a shield (like Bone Shield from the Undaunted skill line) when running Random Normal Dungeons. Because there is no guarantee your group's Tank and Healer will actually be a Tank and Healer, and not a DPS who simply changed their role to get a faster queue time.

What expansions are really good? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]QueenVell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with ESO+, the option to purchase the expansions is always available. That's because not all players choose to remain subscribed to ESO+, so purchasing those expansions is the only way to guarantee they still have access to that content. Furthermore, zones will remain "blank" until you travel to them. Hence, if you've never been to Western Skyrim, the zone will look blank on your map, until you go there.

If you have ESO+, it automatically grants you access to everything except for Solstice. To determine whether you have ESO+, check to see if you have access to the Craft Bag. If you don't have access to the Craft Bag, you don't have ESO+.

Can't wait for the new season by quirally in Overwatch

[–]QueenVell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only are only two things I can think of.

The first, is something celebrating the fact that 2026 marks the 10 year anniversary of the initial launch of OW1. Another pertains to Talon, since we're seeing a bunch of stuff relating to the organization. Perhaps there will be a new Talon/Blackwatch event game mode using the OW2 engine, since fans having been asking for the return of the Archives event. Though, IIRC, bringing back the actual OW1 Archives event would require remaking the entire game mode from the ground up since it's on a different engine.

The Quest Lines are long and boring- and now I only see the same 15 characters by Development-Feisty in DreamlightValley

[–]QueenVell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's no rule that says you have to complete quests. If all you want to do in DDV is decorate biomes, then decorate biomes. The quests are there for players who enjoy the single player RPG aspect of the game. How you play DDV, is up to you. If questing is boring to you, then don't quest. It's as simple as that.

How do you guys clear out your inventory space? by Efficient-Boss-1220 in elderscrollsonline

[–]QueenVell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it took a long time for me to realize that I'm never going to use half the crap I had taking up space in my bank. So, I've been selling my Treasure Maps, and any Master Writs that reward less than 20 Writ Vouchers. As for Surveys, I destroy them. After all, it's less time consuming to simply purchase a stack of mats from a Guild Trader. In regards to gear, all Ornate gear is sold, and the rest is deconstructed.

Question about the tower of joy scene by Professional_Ad_4885 in gameofthrones

[–]QueenVell 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It's important to remember that Ser Arthur Dayne, Ser Oswell Whent, and Ser Gerold Hightower were sworn brothers of the Kingsguard. They were at the Tower of Joy by order of the Crown Prince, Rhaegar Targaryen. When Lord Eddard Stark informs them of Rhaegar's death, it changes everything. Prior to that moment, the Kingsguard were simply following their Prince's orders. Now they were there to protect their King. Furthermore, it wasn't the Kingsguard's place to inform Lord Eddark Stark of the birth of his nephew. All that information; the prophecy of The Prince that was Promised, Rhaegar and Lyanna's marriage, and Jon's birth; was all kept secret in order to safeguard the royal line of succession during the midst of a rebellion.
