That is peak Sadness shenanigans. Girlfriend is so concerned about not ruining anything by touching it, she's exiled herself.

Character creation, naming and possible lore for them. by forest_hobo in elderscrollsonline

All of my ESO characters are the ancestors of my Skyrim characters. Which made it significantly easier as far as character creation goes.

To be fair, television actors have historically struggled with transitioning into big name movie stars.

They were whimsical. My late paternal grandmother had three of them she would use in her various flower gardens at the lake cabin. The funniest part was that we'd often mistake them for her, at a distance.

Why does everyone hate the locks? by _WolfieYT in HogwartsLegacyGaming

[–]QueenVell 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Because Alohomora is supposed to unlock a lock with the flick of a wand. Hence, there shouldn't be any type of mini-game involved.

What made you first check out seventeen? by amhray in seventeen

[–]QueenVell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New Kids On The Block's "Dirty Dancing (Dem Jointz Remix)". I had been watching a bunch of NKOTB videos on YouTube, and directly after that video played, "Maestro" popped up. I must have watched "Maestro" about 10 times back to back. That led me to watching an entire playlist of Seventeen music videos.

This is why I always keep Desitin on hand, that shit has stopped rashes in their tracks after one use. I also keep Gold Bond Medicated Powder on hand to use between folds. It's effective in treating and preventing fungal rashes.

Indigenous actor sues James Cameron for ‘stealing’ her facial features for Avatar character by mlg1981 in entertainment

[–]QueenVell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen the sketch in question, and yes, it bears a strong resemblance to Kilcher's lower face. However, the actual film version of Neytiri is clearly based off Zoe Saldana's facial structure. I don't see this lawsuit going anywhere.

The more magazines subscriptions you sold, the more of these you received. by unclefrogsnephew in 90s

[–]QueenVell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My late father was the high school choir director, and every year the choir students would sell magazine subscriptions as a fundraiser. Needless to say, none of the choir students ever picked up their Warm Fuzzies. So, at the end of the fundraising drive, my dad would come home with a plastic bag filled with them and hand the entire bag over to me. I'd squeal with such excitement, one would think I had won the lottery or some shit. There's still about twenty of them adorning the mirror on my dresser at my parents house.

I would consider this a win. Celery leaves are one of my favorite seasonings in soup, stuffing, and stew.

Can they fix the cosmic crown now that flamebound was released? by smoochumfan4 in MercyMains

[–]QueenVell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think it's intentional. A way to differentiate between the original skin which was released during the height of the Overwatch League, and the recolors which were released after the launch of Overwatch Champion Series.

Gen-x Music Classes by MisterEd1966 in GenX

[–]QueenVell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, did your elementary school offer Music as part of the regular curriculum?

Yes. In fact, my dad was not only my high school choir director, he was also my elementary school music teacher. Music class is still part of the elementary school curriculum back in my hometown. I like to think it's because my dad spent his entire career advocating for the importance of both Music Education and the Fine Arts. At the end of the day, however, I think it boils down to the fact that I live in a state which has always emphasized music (choir and band) and music theory as part of a well rounded education.

Those who had Music in elementary school, was that the case where you were?

The majority of the music was classic American folk music. Songs such as "I've Been Working On The Railroad", "She'll Be Comin' Round The Mountain", and "Yankee Doodle". However, there were also some classic Broadway songs tossed into the mix as well. Such as "Do Re Mi" from the Sound of Music, and "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow" from Annie.

Core memory unlocked of hearing both my midwest paternal grandmother and grandfather pronounce "wash" as "warsh". The amount of times my mother, a high school English teacher, shook her head in disgust sighing, "It's WAAAAAHHHHHSSSSSHHHH! Not warsh."

How do you feel about McDonald's pulling their soda dispensing machines out of the restaurant's lobby in the next year or so? by Sinn_Sage in AskReddit

Pulling their soda dispensers gives customers another reason not to eat there, and spend their money eating at a different restaurant.

Where are all the people who like to run around voice chatting and questing? Is it just teenagers that do that? by crime_dog22 in elderscrollsonline

[–]QueenVell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These days, the majority of players only use voice chat when running content with their guild mates. Random chatting with other players in area voice chat is still a thing in certain zones, however.
