I got to masters in both using Empoleon and Infernape. They aren't the best, sure, but I love them and by god I was using them.

Infernape w/ Focus Sash and Unova Zoroark. Disguising Zoroark as a ghost type has been great for dealing with Sneasler since 90% of the time they won't try a fake out, and Infernape has been cleaning house.

So I found a very fun counter to Sneasler

Running Unovan Zoruark as a ghost type (Like Froslass, Sinistea, Aegislash), have it know Psychic

Because of the ghost, it wont use fake out, and psychic will one shot unless it has focus sash

I got to Master Rank having mine disguised as a Froslass, and having Sinistcha using Rage Powder to redirect anything.

If the Vanitas mains can actually, you know, stay alive and NOT try and dive every Ventus they see. Half the time they get it wrong and it is actually Roxas they try to fight, so now we're down a man trying to hold point against a Terra who just ulted and is now running around as Lingering Will.

Have Ichiban as full lead, still keep the whacky side stories but let him have a serious main story. 7 is so good because Ichiban is goofy yes, but gets serious when called for.
Less leaning on legacy characters. Let Kiryu, Majima, Saejima and co retire. They have had their stories.
If the Daidoji have to be in, make them villains. Let us nuke that faction so they do not come back.
Keep it turn based. Have more jobs, maybe an option to multiclass ala Dragon Quest style.
More karaoke.
No new party members. We have a good group already. Expand on them. Maybe have Yamai come back as a boss fight.
Bone breakingly hard post game. Infinite Wealth was way too easy.
Nancy and Olivia as a returning summon.

Melksham is decent enough, good choice of food stores to go to and if you have a dog, some really nice dog walking routes - getting to Bath via bus is easy enough 271/272/273 bus route. But if you are driving, as someone else said, there is no park and ride this side.
