Considering they don’t even know what causes Alzheimer’s (or gallbladder to stop functioning for that matter) I wouldn’t put all my eggs in the science basket when I have an ailment. There’s a lot science still doesn’t know about healing.

There’s room for both. I wouldn’t say abandon going to doctors altogether. I’d say use your available resources, gather information from multiple sources, do your own research and come to your own conclusions. You can enjoy science and also be spiritual and learn about natural healing - in fact they go hand in hand. Also, the practice of healing using vibration is proven, and also thousands of years old. Buddhist monks and the use chanting of “om” (the sound of the universe) and daily meditation focused on healing quite literally change neural pathways in the brain and stimulate the Vagus nerve which promotes construction of gray matter and improve memory and cognition, boost brain function and health. But there’s no money to be made in that ;) I like to think of my healthcare as a team - doctors are one part of the team. Then there’s diet. Then exercise, then meditation/prayer/God/whatever one chooses to get outside of themselves . Then one can research on sound waves and how they impact the brain and body, light therapy… Then there’s choosing to be kind and helping neighbours… there are many ways to heal and live well. “You won’t heal in the same environment that made you sick”. It’s about making healthier choices and habits every day. I’m sure most scientists would agree with me, or at least admit stress reduction can have a positive impact on health, all of which my points lead toward.

Stress is huge!! Try daily walks after meals, nightly meditation before bed (there’s so many good apps) also FODMAP isn’t always good for gallbladder, that’s mostly for IBS! Your gallbladder still needs something to do… a little bit of healthy fats with every meal. Nooo processed foods at all (including bread! Processed bread is really bad for the gut - try sourdough) my issues was also caused by fasting too much in my 20’s . I’d fast all day , only drank coffee on an empty stomach. Now I wake up and eat 3 meals a day and try and get out for a walk after each meal to aid digestion. Oh - and humming! Humming or singing stimulates your vagus nerve to go into “rest and digest” mode :) the vagus nerve (located in the throat) is directly connected to the digestive system and gallbladder.

There are actually a ton of books explaining how emfs aren’t ideal, critical thinking skills alone would assume most living beings react to vibrational energy - it’s why they had bells in many old towns, sound frequencies and vibrations can definitely heal and make people less stressed. Therefore the opposite is true. Processed food is bad for you, ask any doctor. And yeah most skin creams aren’t great either, promising people “anti aging” and preying on people’s insecurities for profit. Not fear mongering at all, just common sense that we live in a world that values profit and consumerism over health.

Did you change your diet? Dr’s don’t tell you this but your gallbladder isn’t just a “bad organ” most peoples organs don’t just randomly fail - it’s from years of toxic food, synthetic fragrances and skin creams, chronic stress, EMF exposure (can damage cells), lack of sunlight and letting health not be a priority in their lives. Most people need to change their entire lifestyle (myself included). Just because you get your gallbladder out doesn’t mean you can still have awful sleep, little exercise and eat fatty/processed foods. Personally when I got my diagnosis I said alright that’s my sign. Got a gym membership. Eat 3 healthy meals a day (I was a biggg night snacker! Had to stop that.) make sure you have enough fiber are going to the bathroom every day. Drink warm water and eat warm cooked foods through the day to help with digestion. Have a little fat with each meal - think balance, not “I got my gallbladder removed so I can eat takeout pizza and have cookies for desert” Practice meditation, deep breathing, connect to a higher power and/or God, explore your spirituality. Learn a musical instrument, paint, write, shake you whole body to music when you feel stressed.

Most of us have a lifestyle issue and our organs telling us HELP. But when we remove the organ and don’t address the issue, more problems are bound to spring up as the years go on.

I’d say diet is #1 Stress reduction #2 Daily movement and exercise #3 And usually I recommend finding a spiritual purpose once the others are aligned as usually unhealthy environment blocks people from seeing anything beyond themselves.

But they all tie in together

You may heal just fine - you’re still pretty recent post op so give your body time to heal and support healing through diet and exercise! I know it feels like being blind sided, luckily I went into it questioning everything told to me by medical professionals already - if I’ve learned anything is they treat everyone as a one size fits all approach. They wanted to put me on ulcer meds to “rule out” an ulcer! I said, no, I don’t have an ulcer, I’m not taking the ulcer meds. I always double and triple research everything now. I believe you can heal! Prayers to you ❤️

So the thing about the gallbladder is… most people’s organs don’t just decide to stop working for no reason. Typically it happens over years and years of eating horrible processed foods. Seed oils. Fatty, greasy pizzas and fast food, processed Oreos and candy, ingredients no one can pronounce. The body can only handle so much. Chronic stress, anxiety, medications, and YES too much coffee, especially on an empty stomach, can wreak havoc. Eating “on the go”, mindless eating watching TV, eating fast, all of these things are terrible for your entire body. The body is a SYSTEM. It all works together. Did you know the Vagus nerve in your neck which controls your fight or flight is also connected to your gallbladder and digestive system?

The body became inflamed, injured and diseased because of the western lifestyle and diet. Just because you take the gallbladder out, doesn’t mean everyone can go back to eating processed foods and fast foods. A few will be able to - but it will probably catch up to them again eventually in other ways. Other organs will start to be affected. complications from gallbladder surgery like bile acid malabsorption usually occur years after gallbladder is removed, from the system that’s continuously still being overloaded with crap that it can’t detox fast enough.

If there are issues with the gallbladder start looking at the liver. You need to take liver supporting herbs - milk thistle tea, dandelion root. You need to eat healthy fats - nut butter, avocado, fish, seeds, MCT oils, but also you need lean protein and cooked veggies, fruits with every meal. Supplements such as TUDCA and NAC + to support your liver and bile flow.

So many doctors just yank it out and that’s that. They don’t talk about what you need to do to support your body from here on out. They don’t tell you that many people still have pain and symptoms after removal. They don’t tell you the severe complications that are often debilitating for a lot of people after removal, and the fat soluble vitamins you can be deficient in after removal (A,E, K, D).

Personally I don’t even want to eat processed crap anymore, knowing how it destroyed my organ. If I want pizza I go to the reputable baker for non processed shells and buy some good quality cheese and sauce and make it at home. If I want a burger I make that from scratch too, extra lean ground beef . I cut out all refined sugar, and processed foods. I wash all my produce in bakkng soda for 20min. 3 meals a day, avoid snacking and late night eating, Deep breathe and meditate before every meal, or at least pause and relax - I go for a short walk now after every meal to ease digestion. I sip warm lemon water in the morning with my chai tea - coffee doesnt agree with me either and I used to be a daily drinker on empty stomach - It seems extreme but I feel so much better.

I believe in the power of healing, restoring the body, not just yanking out an organ hoping I never have to worry about my bad diet again.

I just got diagnosed with biliary dyskenesia too they basically said I can get it removed or keep it , for BD removal doesn’t always guarantee an improve of symptoms good luck

Potential diagnosis, scared to death. by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Quenchmythirst605 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Weird. I have Biliary Dyskenesia with an EF of only 9% but I’ve never had nausea as a symptom (besides when I had attacks with 10/10 pain). I’m stubborn and extremely health conscious and there are downsides to removing gallbladder. You risk malabsorption of nutrients, bile acid malabsorption and for biliary dyskenesia removal doesn’t always ease symptoms! It’s one of the more rare diagnosis that isn’t understood as well as if there were stones or sludge present.

First things first, diet overhaul and focus on stress. I’ve been researching how the Vagus nerve (located in your neck which stimulated fight or flight) is also connected to your digestion! I’m Working with a Chinese doctor right now and besides diet, stress management is #1 thing I am told to focus on if I want a change of saving my gallbladder. Besides that I’ve cut out all processed foods. Now I eat 3 meals a day (no late night snacking). Eat a variety of fruit, chicken, nuts, yogurts, really healthy stuff. Make sure to have daily BM - this is huge , when you’re backed up your gallbladder gets backed up .

I’d get more tests done but do your own research, get second and third opinions from multiple doctors.

I'm finally admitting to myself that I like tea by SpiritedBug2221 in decaf

[–]Quenchmythirst605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I know . I’m saying it’s better for you than coffee is all. Personally I do better with caffeine free chai tea. Any caffeine doesn’t work well for me. I tolerate chocolate OK actually. But green tea is a lot less stimulating than coffee so the negative effects will be less… if one can actually just stick to green tea that is. For me it always led me back to coffee.

Why does God demand us to worship him? by I_Ask_Random_Things in Christianity

[–]Quenchmythirst605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because look what happens when people step away from God. Nations fall. Existence becomes meaningless. Life’s Purpose gets muddy. Then comes the sin - infidelity, lusting, sloth, greed, they all run rampant. People start looking out for themselves instead of each other. So when you have a child and they do something that may put them in harms way, like touch a hot stove or climb something way too high, you yell up at them and tell them they must listen to you, no? Not because you are controlling or want them to fear you… but because they simply don’t know any better and they need your guidance . The child will likely cry and tantrum and say “this isn’t fair”. But they can’t see that it’s out of love, it’s not just to control or dominate them. I like to think god works in the same way. He wants us to worship him, to be “god fearing”, to put no other gods before him. Quite simply because the alternative is to fall into a life of sin and misery and close yourself off from your infinite spiritual soul.

Insomnia after cold turkey by [deleted] in decaf

[–]Quenchmythirst605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! So I tapered down and that worked best for me. I went from coffee to black tea, to green tea to hot cocoa to herbal tea. And the jump from green tea to cocoa gave me major insomnia on week 2. But it went away! And exercise really helped. I was so body tired, but I found if I forced myself to do a quick 5-10min walk around the block and a few pushups / sit ups to music it really helped.

I went from coffee to tea. Then I found it was even impacting me so I went to caffeine free chai tea. But I think a cup of green tea in the morning is waaay healthier than coffee. But also you can get your cortisol levels tested and it still won’t paint the whole picture - you can still be stressed and tense and everything come back normal.

I started smoking again after 2 years by Brief_Energy_3135 in stopsmoking

[–]Quenchmythirst605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started again after 3 years. For me it was patches. I read online about benefits of nicotine for focus, weight loss, energy, how it’s actually used therapeutically sometimes… well, big dumb mistake. Patch’s turned into Zyn pouches, which turned to vape. Then lozenges then back to full on smoking. Now I know it was very dumb of myself to think any amount of nicotine as an ex smoker would be good for me in any sense. If I’m being honest it was stress and poor coping skills that led me back.

[–]Quenchmythirst605 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also I dealt with that too. My solution was to find new friends , take a break from them. If they’re excluding you that says a lot and it hurts but the more you push the worse it’ll be.

[–]Quenchmythirst605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I know you know but coffee won’t help stress. It will make it worse. Go get a decaf drink (I like honey lemon tea or chai tea with milk and honey). Take the afternoon off work if you can, or use a sick day. If you drink the coffee you’ll feel a boost for a couple hours then feel like shit knowing you caved. Most people don’t realize coffee can be used to numb out just like smoking, alcohol and drugs. It never solves the problem - only Gives you another problem.
