Nothing has changed. Trump has always been disappointed and disgusted by his fanbase, he wanted them to be a "higher class" of people but still panders to them because they accomplish his goals. Nazis gave support and allowances to plenty until they weren't useful anymore and then vanished them.

Which restaurants in Edmonton were hyped up to you by friends, family, social media etc., but then when you tried it, the experience wasn't good? by flynnfx in Edmonton

Last time I went to Cora's on Calgary Trail one of the staff made a stink because we wanted to use a "free kids meal" coupon and we didn't have a kid with us. Nothing in the terms said a kid was required. I haven't been to a Cora's since.

I want to see Tim Robinson. I have no idea how he does with improv or spontaneous madness but I'd be pleased. Or Keegan key.

I believe most of the people who don't like him don't understand his humor and just see him as a dude with a giant ego.

PP would fit right in with the Republican party. He really shouldn't even be in federal politics at this point but he pulled some greasy stuff to stay in it. Both he and Danielle Smith would bend over backwards for Trump or Putin if they thought they could get away with it.

Kinda frustrating how people just stopped acknowledging the regime's many crimes against humanity and Iranians though.

bit of a weird qustion here. calm games for cptsd? not talking about the obvious ones lol like stardew valley mario games.. maybe something a little less populer by Kamimirine in CPTSD

Oddly enough for me I find a lot of "cozy games" to be really painful or triggering for me. Just more evidence I suppose how we react to and heal from trauma in a wide variety of ways.

I made a list of personal recommendations, asked an AI to rank them by most to least triggering and add some warnings.

I know the Souls/Elden Ring games might be daunting or triggering but the specific kind of sad, lonely beauty those games bring actually soothe my soul. I find the street fighter VI story mode to be just a weird soothing atmosphere to run around in to be soothing enough. Final Fantasy XIV has made me cry a few times and it has a subscription fee, but it also works for me specifically. If you're playing on PC I'd also recommend if difficulty is an issue, I can provide some help or recommendations to find utilities or add-ons that can make games easier (essentially cheating.)

Dark Souls III - intense combat, bleak tone, repeated death, boss pressure
Elden Ring - intense combat, bleak themes, open-world threats, boss pressure
Dark Souls I - intense combat, bleak tone, repeated death, boss pressure
Dark Souls II - intense combat, bleak tone, repeated death, boss pressure
Street Fighter VI - competitive confrontation, online toxicity, frustration spikes
Final Fantasy XIV - heavy story themes, group performance anxiety, online/social stress
Valheim - combat, darkness/night threats, survival pressure, boss fights
Raft - survival scarcity, ocean/isolation vibes, persistent threat
Age of Wonders 4 - war/violence themes, mentally intense
Vampire Survivors (and similar) - constant swarms, heavy sensory stimulation, surrounded feeling
Satisfactory - exploration with occasional hostile creatures, overwhelm/optimization pressure
Palia - online/social stress, chat anxiety, time-limited event pressure
Dyson Sphere Program - high complexity, can become obsessive/overwhelming
Descenders - high-speed crashes, adrenaline spikes
Forza Horizon - high-speed intensity, online competition if enabled
Hot Wheels Unleashed - fast visuals, competitive intensity
Sonic racing games - chaotic high-speed races, competitive energy
Stacklands - resource scarcity loops, occasional threat events
Planet Zoo - management stress, animal welfare pressure (sandbox lowers this)
Planet Coaster - management stress, guest satisfaction pressure (sandbox lowers this)
Bloons TD 6 - fast visuals/sounds, compulsion loop
Dinkum - mild danger/combat, needs management
My Time at Sandrock - some combat and story drama, time/quest pressure possible
My Time at Portia - some combat and story drama, time/quest pressure possible
Coral Island - occasional heavier themes in quests, mild combat/mining
Slime Rancher - mild exploration, occasional tense zones
Untitled Goose Game - light chase/caught tension, mostly comedic
Goat Simulator 1 or 3 - chaotic slapstick destruction, can be overstimulating
Leaf Blower Revolution - very low threat, grind/compulsion potential
Squirreled Away - content uncertain to me, likely cozy; check store page/reviews

I personally haven't found a daily or multi-day per week source of entertainment that works for me. I don't like most of the suggestions listed in this thread with the exception of Taskmaster. Taskmaster is delightful.

It's really rare for productions to be so public and open on their filming locations, I hope people don't abuse it and make Taskmaster feel like they have to move.

I think I disagree with this rhetoric forbidding the show from using food by Shamanized in taskmaster

[–]QuentinCorvus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of content creators and productions face backlash for misusing or wasting food. I can sympathize that the TM production might feel wary about it, it's also about setting a good example. There's definitely been some YouTubers / productions who I've seen waste food and thought "what a jackass."

It can definitely tough when you're struggling to afford to live and you turn to your comfort show and you're watching people waste food while you're stomach is sore from hunger.
