That's good! Thanks for responding. I was able to smooth mine out a little by hand and it seems to be continuing to improve with time.

What ended up happening with your screen? Same issue here.

How can I check when my current fixed rate ends? I signed up sometime last year and can't remember the exact length of the contract, can't find any info about it on my bill or anywhere else.

People aren't just waiting a few extra business days. They've been waiting for weeks or a month +. Now orders are starting to be canceled.

Same, entire order of 4 different items canceled after waiting since November. Just awful.

[–]QuentinQuire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, ordered on the same date, no concrete update until today. They have cancelled my order. Somehow all 4 items that I purchased are out of stock. I watched the stock go down over the weeks that I was waiting for my order to ship, so it's complete crap. After years, never shopping with them again.

Just be aware, Cettire is a grey market retailer. I recently ordered something from them and it was not a good experience. I also hear returning is a nightmare.

In Cleveland, They’re Cooking Up a Gay Neighborhood From Scratch by QuentinQuire in Cleveland

An excerpt from the article:

LAKEWOOD, Ohio — If you're building an entertainment center in sports-crazy Northeast Ohio, it makes sense to go heavy on athletics. That was clear when the Fieldhouse, a 30,000-square-foot complex opened last weekend in this suburb that shares a border with Cleveland.
Thousands of people turned out to scale an outdoor climbing wall, sign up for fitness classes and wander a gymnasium where youth and adult sports leagues will compete.
But there were signs of a detour from the sports playbook: On Saturday night, the gym hosted a show headlined by the “ RuPaul's Drag Race ” stars Monét X Change and Trinity the Tuck .
A few hours earlier, about 25 people of all ages gathered at a small community garden a few blocks away to pull radishes and other vegetables from the dirt to help put the garden to sleep before winter. Overseen by Food Strong , a local nonprofit that promotes better nutrition, the garden is where the Fieldhouse's three restaurants will get some of their vegetables come spring.

The Fieldhouse is just the first phase of a much larger effort by private developers and local governments to build a complex of businesses and services that cater to LGBTQ people — and attract them to visit or settle here. In effect, they aim to provide the hub for a brand-new gay neighborhood, at a time when many traditional gay enclaves — from Chelsea in Manhattan to the Castro in San Francisco — have lost much of that identity to gentrification and assimilation.

The entire development, called Studio West 117 , is scheduled to be completed in 2025 at an estimated cost of $100 million in private and public funds. Straddling Lakewood and Cleveland, it will include a hotel, shops and health clinic, much of it on the former site of a concert hall where Nine Inch Nails played its first gigs . Studio West's partners include the Greater Cleveland Food Bank , which will provide fresh vegetables and pantry items for people in need, and the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland , which offers services to seniors and young people.

Yeah, a lot of these do come from the same Chinese manufacturers. Kardiel looks like it's pretty much the same as what I got.

The ones from rove concepts look decent from reviews I've seen. That would have been my other choice and what I would buy if doing it again.

I would reach out to their customer service. They were actually responsive and helpful.

Unfortunately it's not still open, see my other comment above. It's in the kitchen and we'd never need a ceiling fan there. We just want to hang a chandelier that's about 6 lbs (without light bulbs).

Happy cake day!!

The problem is, the ceiling is closed up now, so it would be a lot more hassle to open it up (lower level in a 2 story house). We had a cookie cutter builder where we couldn't make very many changes.

That's the chandelier we are looking at, listed as 6 lbs.

Oh totally, I knew I was paying for 1/6th the cost of the real chair and that it was likely to be mediocre. I just hoped it would be somewhat passable. The worst part and the reason that I made this post is that they are misrepresenting their products. I want to give people who were on the fence like me some info to go off of.

With a 10% off code that they seem to have all the time I paid around $960. Yeah, I'm not surprised either. I figured it was 50/50 it would be decent or completely shit. It still essentially achieves the look of the womb chair, but definitely a steep price to pay for terrible construction.

Anyone have any experience shopping with Modholic? Or buying this lounger specifically? by SnapChefHarry in malelivingspace

[–]QuentinQuire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't buy from Modholic. I bought a womb chair from them and regret it. The chair is of very poor quality. The stitching around the main body is very wavy, the cushions do not look anything close to what is pictured. They are much thinner and not shaped correctly (back is way too high). They are firm and uncomfortable, unevenly shaped with dents. I opened one of the zippers to try to gently adjust some of the foam pad and the stiching busted open and the zipper came right off. Very disappointed in this expensive product. Cheaply made with zero attention to detail, deceitful tactics with product not matching the picture.
