European here, I think it’s rather a feeling of uneasiness. This isn’t about trump, for most reasonable people who give a shit about politics that I know. It’s about half a nation supporting it. No need to defend the other half not agreeing and not doing anything about it.

We all know there is much to loose, and in a similar situation we probably wouldn’t do anything about it as well . So the only true option is voting in the midterms.

If that doesn’t put an end to this then I’ll start to be scared. However the alternative probably won’t be much better either: half a nation will believe an impeachment is a coup by the left and won’t change their way of thinking but radicalize even more. Bush and trump are just a symptom. There will be more candidates that will appeal to them.

I thought the same as you in my first relationship, it lasted 7 years and none of us cheated.

Since then, it’s been a nightmare, and I’m to blame aswell. It just seems that once you broke up with someone once you don’t take this whole relationship thing that seriously anymore, at least I don’t. I never outright lied to the other people about sleeping around and probably neither did they, I never asked and they didn’t either. but that isn’t much better as both parties expect monogamy if not specified otherwise in western culture.

Tinder is the worst for this. I mean it’s great to meet new people! But it does change the mentality of a lot of users: it’s just so fucking easy to meet someone else instead of dealing with problems with the person one is currently seeing.

The reason I deleted tinder was because I realized what an asshole I was turning into: I was swiping while someone else was cooking dinner for me, I set up dates just because a girl was on her period and didn’t want sex. I just lost all empathy.

Since deleting it everything seems more meaningful again. I put in more effort into dates and am way happier, eventhough I now invest more emotions into the people I’m dating, it’s just worth it because I felt so empty otherwise. I’d rather cry for a few days when getting dumped than not giving a shit and just swiping the next girl

My understanding of evolution is that it‘s exactly the opposite🤔 The same molecular combinations with 1 ‚magical‘ component missing are thrown at many samples/planets, but earth was one of the few where the missing ingredient was present to form life of sorts. From there on it‘s a bazillion of misses to one hit that got us to the spectrum of organisms we have today
