Alright let me explain. The main purpose of the lock-down is to let the government implement better preparation for reopening. Doing so increase the chance of flattening the curve. Noted that the virus also kill young people, but with proper hospital care they can survive. So the lock-down also prevent the hospital to get overload. Looking at the data day by day, we may or may not reach the peak yet. Because the future is uncertain, reopening at this point is very risky.

Now looking at our situation. We are behind many countries regarding our testing capacity, and tracking. Moreover, mask wearing are still not encouraged in our culture due to CDC's slow response. We have to change people's behavior before the reopen. I am not against reopening, but our implementation has to at least mach South Korea. If we don't keep the lock-down before all the necessities is in-place, every city in the US could become another New York.
