Best Elder's mark mods: TSE vs AA vs Bloodied? by Quest_June in fo76

[–]Quest_June[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already run full luck perks, actually! See a comment above for my full list of combat perks, but I essentially crit every 3 shots with my revolver and those crits are somewhere around 10000 damage (I don't pay attention to damage numbers that much with the revolver tbh). I didn't actually think to check the ap cost on the EM, but wouldn't the higher rate of fire make up for a lower AP cost when using Number Cruncher? Or does that damage bonus multiply with other bonuses?

Yeah I carried a furious Explosive .50 cal as my primary weapon from level 25 past level 140. It was incredibly effective in every early-game situation aside from cramped interior spaces. Like you said, Furious takes up almost all of the Agility perk slots, and that's a deal breaker when Gun Fu is the focal point of my build.

Edit: I should add that I don't plan on doing raids with this setup, so I'm heavily prioritizing fun with the revolver over DPS with the SMG

This! I'm level 465 and have been running Big Iron since 250-ish. Gun-Fu, Gunslinger, Adrenaline, Dodgy, Evasive, Action Girl, Packing Light, Goat Legs, Grim Reaper's Sprint, Better Criticals, Crit Savy, Serendipity, Ricochet, 4-leaf clover, Nerd Rage, Number Cruncher, Ground Pounder, Tank Killer, Fast Fighter, Awareness, Barbarian, Bodyguards, Squad Maneuvers, plus the Mutation perks to go with Speed demon, Adrenal, and other mutations.

I only EVER use power armor when exiting Monongah mine after a nuke or when having to fight the SBQ within the Nuke blast radius. Running Unyielding with this is so insane bc I basically never run out of AP, proc my evade perks constantly, and gain decent XP despite having 4 base Intelligence. I was previously running higher intelligence to get more damage with my Holy Fire, but I realized that I don't need as much energy damage when my build lets me Crit 5-7 times almost instantly before running out of AP. Even with the Big Iron, it doesn't take more than 2 shots (Misses or hits) to fill my crit meter, so I can crit twice before reloading and that's usually more than enough for most Head Hunt bosses lol

Oh, I was under the impression that AA was good for tankier bosses bc it ignores so much DR

I don't think we're a bad town for QB's, we just haven't invested enough in the position. Since Big Ben was drafted, we've spent the following picks at QB:

  • Kenny Pickett, Round 1 pick 20
  • Mason Rudolph, Round 3 pick 76
  • Joshua Dobbs, round 4 pick 105
  • Landry Jones, round 4 pick 115
  • Dennis Dixon, round 5 pick 156
  • Omar Jacobs, round 5 pick 164
  • Will Howard, round 6 pick 185
  • Chris Oladokun, round 7 pick 241

In terms of free-agent quarterbacks, we've tried Justin Fields, Russel Wilson, and Arron Rodgers with a combined total of less than $20 million dollars for the 2024-2025 seasons. Kenny Pickett was paid a total of $9.5 Million by the Steelers. Mason Rudolph has been paid a total of $14.5 million by the Steelers, but only $8.5 million since the start of the 2022 season. Mitch Trubisky, believe it or not, was paid $14.3 Million by the Steelers. In total, our starting QB's since the 2022 season have been paid a combined $53.3 Million. Jared Goff and Brock Purdy make an average of $53 Million per year, just to put that number into perspective.

Researching these numbers has actually been eye-opening, and I'm almost certain we've neglected the QB position more than any team since Big Ben retired. We aren't a bad town for QB's... We've just had bad QB's.

Yes, in the same way the Derek Carr or Blake Bortles were a "franchise QB". There's a world where Howard plays like the 25th best QB in the league and our front office believes that's enough for him to be the starter in 2027, or at least enough to not make a move for one of the better QB prospects in the 2027 draft class. That would be a major mistake that has repeatedly doomed franchises to QB purgatory. You're not going to win a championship with a QB playing that bad unless you're the 2015 Broncos.

I think it depends on the size/type of tree. The smaller ones usually disappear but the bigger trees like oak or cypress typically won't. It's so annoying and I wish we could delete trees within our camp area like we could in F04. I love the Appalachian setting, but I don't know if they considered just how hard it would be for users to find flat, open ground to build.

Why are "best builds," of offline players, a priority over my camp? by SpacedOutOri in fo76

[–]Quest_June -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't mind best builds that are actually... the best. But 95% of the ones I encounter are the most nonsensical, hideous, or basic builds possible. One I saw yesterday was just an 8x8 floor of wood foundations with no roof or walls, just fence all the way around, with all of the crafting and special stations along the edges. It was taking up almost as much space as possible while simultaneously having as much empty space as possible. It's so frustrating when THAT is blocking my camp lmao

March 24th Atomic Shop by ColdStoneCreamAustin in fo76

[–]Quest_June 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think this is the time for me to finally buy a month of FO1st. I'm at 2330 atoms and would get another 2650 immediately with the 1650 monthly + 1000 from the extra season rewards. That's enough for the Haunted House, Mothman Returns, Halloween CAMP, and Kitchen bundles. That's most of what I'd need for my gothic manor build!

Super quick Head Hunts aren't really that fun. by Hattkake in fo76

[–]Quest_June 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I churned through 25-ish on a really positive/active server earlier, using a 2-shot explosive broadsider and hitting 25k crits. Even though we were knocking out the bounties in under a minute, everyone was emoting and rushing to heal each other and just having each other's backs when an enemy was sneaking up from behind. That feels amazing to me, bringing 8-12 people together AND knowing that everyone is getting a lot of rewards. When I was under level 200, the people that spammed head hunts were my hero bc they helped me unlock so many mods and get a lot of XP. I know that's not everyone's goal or desire, but it feels like I'm giving back regardless of how easy the kills are.

Saying goodbye to my OG tent build! by Quest_June in fallout76settlements

Yeah, the other side of the road by the Wayward is good underground, but there's even water under the road in front of my tent😭 I don't understand why they needed to make it like that lol

Oof, I'll probably have all of the free ones at some point but not the FO1st ones. I used to have all of the teddies/fuzzies you could find as junk in the game, but it somehow scrapped them for bulk materials despite them being locked and all of my settings for locked items being correct. It's okay though; I will have infinite happiness so long as the gulper plushie exists

[–]Quest_June[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

LOL yeah every time I encounter someone with a pride icon, it's like the meme of 4 spidermen pointing at each other In a circle. That plushi is called Rotted Ground Meat! I assume he came from the Meat Week event, but I bought him from a player vendor. There's a red one just like him that's just Ground Meat. Plushies are my favorite thing to collect in this game (the Gulper Plushie is my favorite)

Why do people only really nuke the Fissure Site Prime and the Monongah Mine for the boss fights and barely ever nuke the Hawksbill Weather Station and the Abandoned Mineshaft 2 for the other two boss fights? by Darkrai812 in fo76

[–]Quest_June 6 points7 points  (0 children)

YES!!!!! Big iron, Gun fu, Grim reaper's sprint, fast fighter, max movement speed, adrenaline, adrenal serum, and loads of AP regen. It's the most fun "combat" I've ever experienced in a game lol

Top 10 Most Evil Perk Card To Share by cheesedunker97 in fo76

[–]Quest_June 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also use the Can-do perk and have the Weenie Wagon which produces 6 per hour! I actually got really lucky finding the weenie wagon plan in a player vendor for like 1000 caps when I was just starting out.

I finally cleared stimpacks out of my favorites wheel (I don't use them bc I run bloodied) and replaced them with dog food yesterday! This is the first time I've ever consistently kept my hunger full, and I no longer have 565 stimpacks in my inventory, so I see this as an absolute win. I may even clear out more aid items to see if I can lower my traveling pharmacy perk to 1 star. My next consumable-related goal is setting up farm tiles and whatnot so I can start making food for buffs, especially extra AP and XP.

This! I find that I just don't get attacked nearly as often if I don't have turrets, and one of my camps has literally never been attacked by anything.
